  1. Now there is another issue. What about selling parts on. Can they be posted.... If I sold a saw on arb trader would it have to be collected so I could show them how to use it???
  2. Urm. Not sure. Has the oil level dropped in engine. Does it run ok? Does it start ok in morning. If the rings had gone oil would be burnt through exhaust on running. If it was a lot of oil it should show from sump. Land rover don't leak oil they just mark there territory. Could be turbo issue.
  3. Check your visitor massage on your profile.
  4. 660 just went on arb trader.....
  5. Corrected that for you.:lol::001_tt2::001_tt2:
  6. Cheers. Was going to look at the chain drive first as the mower are relatively new and barely used. I say new. About 3 years old. but barely used. I was thinking the pins had gone. But only happens after gets warmed up. Will have to wait and see. Relatively easy to fix whatever it is.
  7. What a load of old rubbish. Makes felling woodland easy. Those machines where horrible. Was expecting a half decent machine from that. The water powered chainsaw was the best thing there, now add a hydraulic crane and it may be quick enough.
  8. My thoughts. That wire one looks like it could just turn into on huge nail bomb. The circular blade could also become a death trap if it comes off. Would fell a nice line of trees tho.
  9. Pat I've just read your signature. just had an issue with trying to turn the iPad over........ Yes very sad thing to happen. Was reading the paper the other day. Jolie had surgery didn't she to try eliminate the issue?
  10. On reminder now. Seen some stuff before. Isn't just another scrap head challenge program?
  11. It will. That's how it works, small tension, the guv. Is run on engine, the engine speed is ultimately controlled by the carb and fuel/air intake. Gardenkit will explain better, or spud as I'm crap at writing down explanations.
  12. Im with gardenkit on this one I'm afraid. The springs don't tend to do this unless they have been pulled about. They are only weak springs to begin with. The carb will be the issue.
  13. Wouldn't mind doing a few days, when I'm free on that. Used to do a lot of building work until the tools took over. Looks like a really good project. How is the actuall structure of the building doing? No movement in foundations etc. is it cracking up. Or does it need underpinning? How restricted are you on how much the original structure can be changed?
  14. Sounds like a fuel issue. Or the wrong plugs. Give them a call, and just say its stopped running and won't fire up. They should at least have a look at it for you to see what the problem is. May be something simple like fuel not getting through after they have changed the filters. Or incorrect plugs.
  15. Ha so much for the quiet weekend. A br 400, ms200t, got two Hayter mowers to look at. THey are both relatively new but both have the same problem. They both stop driving forward after a short while. Looking at them during the week sometime. Oh and along with a few other jobs that have come in during the weekend aswell.
  16. Have no fear, I took it off once I was in a back room with Leo and his mum.

Some pics from the fun day on Saturday. Yes that me and the missis.
  18. Yeah a steep curve at that. I guess I'm just over protective as we very nearly lost him at 2 month old. And I was the first aider then. Giving CPR to him while on the phone to the ambulance. This just makes me worry around him especially now. Wound has started leaking again a bit. Only on the corner of the cut. So he is bandaged again. Just keeping an eye on him now. Slowly getting there. I've been taught about the after thoughts that people can go through after an incident and the what ifs, so I guess this is one of them, as before when calling the ambulance I was like it for a week. Not so bad on this one. Thanks again.
  19. Many thanks for all the replies. He is his usual bouncing self today, doesn't want to sit still. Yes I didn't realize how much training can actually kick in at the time, and not even think about it. Just sitting down last night with no one around I started thinking it through. But yes everyone is right. We did everything correctly and what should have been done got done. Had a very rough night last night, images and the like. Will be like it for a couple of days I guess. Anyway thank you all.
  20. Ok. Here's the story. Today I was attending a lifeboat fund raising event, various stalls and bits going on. Had the missis doing a craft stall and my boy with us. I was dressing up as stormy stan, a character for the RNLI, kids love it sort if thing. Anyway doing the raffle last thing and the other come rushing over with my boy and she is a complete state of panic, my boy is screaming his head off. She shouts he's bleeding, look at him and its pouring from the back of his head. He was playing and fell backwards onto a rock. Cut into his head. I get him sat down and a Coxan and first aider see to him and bandage him up. I was trying to get out of the stan costume. Took him to a and e and they cleaned him up, and glued the wound, a big wound aswell, 2cm long and had opened up enough to see bone. But glued him up, got home and it was bleeding a bit. Took him back and they glued up the leaking parts. Then bandage. Got him home, he was fine over it, just a bit shell shocked over it. The other was in a right state and saying it was her fault etc etc. I know it wasn't as boys will be boys. But anyway she i cut up over it and will be for a few days. Now everyone is in bed and I'm left alone, now I'm thinking about it and cut up over I didn't do enough at first. I know I had to get out of the costume and everything but I didn't do that first aid when I should have, left it to a member of the lifeboat. Anyway I guess its hitting me a bit and I'm really trying to get it off my chest, but I can't seem to get it clear. I've not had shock before, is it normal. Talking helps I know but with no one around I've come on here. Damn its been a busy week. Anyone else had this or what?
  21. This one. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/46434-elf-n-safety.html
  22. When you think about it 17.50 isn't that much for 5 ltr. How big is the saw tank? .5ltr. If not less. How much milling on one tank? Plus as its been said how long are you milling for.. So how much are you breathing in. Even without the benzene in fuels the rest of the fumes are not good for you. May as well smoke 30 a day. A good tuned aspen running saw will be a lot better for anyone. And you don't go home stinking of petrol.
  23. Try this thread. There are a few dealers for it and eddie@aspen is on this forum aswell. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/41601-one-reason-i-use-aspen-42.html
  24. Uh oh..........:lol::lol: You need a very powerfull search light with an image on it.
