  1. I recently replaced the wires on both of my rope grabs and it will fail a lolar test if missing or broken. They act as a spring on the cam. Very easy to do with the service kit from FR Jones. Instructions supplied.
  2. Blake training in Somerset does those courses. Done my windblown a few months ago. Google Blake training it will have all the details
  3. Happy birthday Jon, always like your posts! Ian
  4. Cheers lads will give them a try
  5. On this subject and sorry to hijack but how can you do word to pdf I have tried but you have to pay a subscription to Adobe
  6. In my dreams Jon, that's as far as it goes😤
  7. So sad, terrible accident. RIP Martin.
  8. No Jon that's collect. They are low on recycled stone at moment
  9. That's what I pay, is that from Roger Penny's Jon?
  10. These stump grinders are sold under various names, brands and colours (may have very small differences). They are made in China. And I have one (not Rock). I really like it. Yes it's not a top of the range one that I would like but it does the job. It paid for itself already. If you're the same as me a sole trader you won't go wrong
  11. I use general grabber AT tyres on my L200 and can't fault them, low noise on road and good grip off-road not such an aggressive tread pattern though
  12. And they got white writing on the side walls as well that makes a difference 😎
  13. They look similar, a lot of defenders in the Land Rover magazines run STT and look like they do a good job Jon
  14. Except the price, STT seem to be a lot cheaper than the BF, going to give them a go when my current MUDs wear out.
  15. I have not, but there is a bearing that sits within a rubber bush. This supports the drive shaft in the middle. Check that for excessive wear. Probably the part has a name but don't know what it's called?
  16. You probably find your not insured to do it anyway, I don't go anywhere near electricity. My big brother helps me doing ground work at times. he's an electrical engineer, and some of the stories he's told me about accidents involving electricity I just don't go near it.
  17. Print the email reply confirmation your number is on that and that's your proof.
  18. Quite interesting thread this, I think doing stock fencing is underrated. It is quite a skill to get it right. Just one of those jobs you get better with experience, most people have very own ways of doing things and most of the time is through making mistakes.
  19. Will you be at the Arb Show?
