    First chainsaw

Hi & welcome Take a look at a Dolmar 420sc. It has a 42cc engine so a bit more power. It comes with a 15" bar & has adjustable oil pump & no gimicks It can be had for about £260 if you look in this forum you will see a thread on it. It also ports rather well. N
  3. Hi We have a Husqvarna 122HD60, it does a good job & is easy to start N
  4. Hi Well done & good for you to catch one of the sumbags N
  5. Hi, I have roughly the same amount of grass, I try to avoid cutting if its wet, I also try to cut before it gets too long - 5-6 inches. If it is long or damp: I go slowly, to allow the blades to clear & raise the cutting height. I would consider doing the longest with a strimmer. Im not sure if the belt tension can be adjusted on your mower, but it may be worth checking. N
  6. Think that depends on your physique, 365 is fine for me - the smaller stuff I cut in a bundle. The more I use it, the lighter it gets N
  7. Hi I cut 15 - 24" no problem with my 365, it has a 20" bar and does the job with ease. Anything smaller it flies through. It just gets a bit heavy when used for limbing as I did once when my smaller saw wouldnt start N
  8. Maybe not today anyway, perhaps if you reviewed what diameter you cut & how often you intend to use your saw & for how long, then that may help you make the right decision. Larger wood may make the 365 a better choice as you have more power Frequent use may make the 60cc Dolamr (edit) a better choice unless weight isnt a problem N
  9. Hi Total T150 seems to work very well for mine, although its a bit warmer here in France so it may gum up a bit further north! N
  10. Great idea Turtle, then you can tell us which you prefer & why N

  12. Hi I have the 70cc 365 & love it, its going to be a tough choice because I think for just one saw the 60cc Dolmar may be a bit lighter, so if that will cut your wood & you're going to use it a lot - the Husky can get heavy although I can't say I notice it. I think either will serve you well N
  13. Thanks, forgot to add... and ports very nicely according to Brad Snelling & Mastermind, I daresay a Spudulike version may be available soon! [ame] [/ame] N
  14. AFAICS it has: metal case, ajustable oiler & no gimmicky stuff so biased towards a 'pro saw'. Its around 349 euros, so even after a bit of a fall on the £ thats still around £260 which undercuts a 543 significantly. I can see it being a good solution for both home & pro users. N
  15. +1 Im not sure how long I can resist the call! It's a Dolmar, one of the very first saws I used was a Dolmar & it was very good - I dont think theyve been messed around with like some others have N

  18. Thankfully, political correctness dosnt exist in France & theres not a great deal of it here either. N
  19. Hi Transfer to iCloud then recover to new phone Apple store nearby where you can ask? N
  20. Oh please do, Dont these people know how to use 'search'!!! Personally, Id buy niether - I much prefer a ching chong chinaman special where the chain break snaps off & the chain is never at the right tension. N
  21. Hi So are you after some software that will do a iphone to iphone transfer - if it exists? Most apps that browse your iPhone run from a host PC/Mac so that would be a more desirable way N
  22. Hi Nice work, like the slo mos at about 2.00 mins good decision to fell a bit higher due to hollow stump - well done N
  23. Hi Had pay at the pump with your CC in France for years, dosnt charge extra here, other than sterling to Euro transaction charge by bank if you pay with a UK card. N
