You obviously got to pay the toll -
It looks like a casting mark , the kind you get when the mold is not fully up to temp and you get a " cold weld " line as the material chills off befor its filled the mold .

Over the years you tend to see this " circular evolotion " of teams . One team is on top for a few years , they then become the " old guard " , then thier " play by " date comes and goes and you have to " bring on " the youngsters . Because teams are not all in sync with this process differing teams are in the acendancy at differing times . This is what makes it interseting I find . I remember a time when no one could touch Wales .

Agreed on the porting of a 346 . Spud did mine way back ( one of his first after his own ) and it is a missile . Runs an 8 pin on a 15" .325 full ch .

Not good to run a saw flat out without bar and chain on . It needs that bit of load on it . Have seen the clutch spin off and dissapiar at a great rate when doing that

As the drill breaks through and pushes swarf down the side of the piston and the spinning chain takes the knuckles of your drill hand you start to wish you had just taken a tacho reading before and after
