  1. He says its fallen Leylandii . I don't think he is felling any standing timber whatever the species .
  2. Jon . You can put a tracker in a log mate . Seen it done . drill small hole , insert tracker and glue the bark back on . If it keeps happening it would be worth it mate .....

    My accident

Hey Sean . I had a bad accident in 2003 . Got hit head on by a car whilst on my fireblade . I was a sporting 50 year old at the time ...Squash , Cricket , swimming , shooting daaa de daa de daa etc etc . My life changed completely with he destruction of my right knee and break of my right femur combined with the dotal destruction of my left shoulder together with asorted wrists , fingers and so on . I was in a wheel chair for a long time and totally waisted muscle wise . A horrible person to live with for a long time feeling sorry for myself . Thank god for my family and most of all my wife who was a rock under duress . The cards you are dealt in life are the cards you are dealt and thats it . After a while you make the best of what you have got and start to apreciat what you can do rather than greive for what you can no longer do . You are a strong charracter I am sure and will come out the other side the stronger for it . Good luck bud ....
  4. Im thinking 28 year old Leylandii will be as light as a feather if dry and like porridge if wet .
  5. Dont bother with all that . just send me all your money .
  6. Well I have no hesitation in burning it myself . As you say cost of extraction to considder .
  7. OK , thanks Eddie . I understand about the petrol removing the coating from the rubber components ( but the petrol itself keeping them supple ) and that Aspen will not remove the coating so may need to replace the rubber parts if going over to Asplen . The 560 has been used for a longer period on pump fuel than the T540 so I would expect the 560 to play up first but it runs good and strong on the Aspen ( better than on the pump fuel ) . The T540 is newer than the 560 and not had as much pump fuel through it . It starts normally and reves up to WOT then after a few seconds held at WOT it just cuts out .
  8. Its A/T Eddie . Should adjust its self .
  9. Do you think we used enough dynamite there butch ?

    Porting Saws

Most of my saws are ported ( thanks to spud ) and the other few are modded to some degree . Never a problem . They are more efficient , make better use of the fuel they use , cut faster and run cooler . Whats not to like ?
  11. Had them on all my motor bikes . Dont think there is anything to be gained performance wise on a saw as the filters are pretty free flowing . You might stop more dust with an oiled K+N maybe ..
  12. If thats not Red Oak my cocks a kipper !
  13. Rubber boot that connects to the carb splits sometimes .
  14. I want to change my call from sweet Ch/nut to red Oak !
  15. I put Aspen in all my kit now as I am retired from cutting full time . My 560 runs better than it did on pump fuel but my T540 wont run without cutting out at WOT all the time ! Bizzar !
  16. Does that not come under " saw and fuel " in his list ?
  17. Take some comon sense as well . Youll be fine .
  18. Im going for sweet Ch/Nut . All that tanin in the wood .
