    I had to take down a 240 liter bin the other day as it was deemed unsafe .

    This . I cut a big old holly and found a " victorian " nail about an 1" out from the center . Trunk was about 24" diameter so must have been put in when it was young . Probably as a fence post .

    Yea but have you checked the deeds / boundary map to find out who they belong to . Might not be the property . Phone the council up and say you want to fell one . You will find out soon enough .

    Swapping chains every tank of fuel will be expensive ! Three strokes per cutter with a file would be better .

    Just heard petrol may go up 2p a litre but still be cheaper than this time last year .
