I would be more interested in anything going on in the root system . Can you test that Steve ? . I have seen them go over in a blow with not much decay in the stick but destroyed roots . -

This . I grafted until I was Way past 60 . We had a few lads come and go but I just continued at my pace , in the end getting much more done than the lads that set off at 100 mph and were shot to bits by mid morning . Had one lad that was all this and that . Lent him my 372 to ring up some ugly lumps . He said my saw was crap . He had some how made the chain de rail and had put it on back to front . There was nothing he did not know . I just plodded on till the job was done . I am an old git .
