  13. Ok . One last thing . Do you dress and flip the bar ? You could have mullered the bar on that big ash . The chain could " flop to one side or the other if the groove is no longer deep enough and there are burrs on the rails . This can give the symptoms you describe .
  14. I use a chainsaw for watching horse racing . Does that count ? ?
  15. Still could be the chain . If you want to run an 18" bar then you need 60cc minimum . I am a Husqvarna man myself but any pro saw of that capacity would work . Have a look at Echo , Dolmar and Husqvarna if you don't want another Stihl .
