kitchen towel and a squirt of Cillitbang . The brown gum stains from a log with too much wet in it usually burns off with the next fire anyway . -

To be honest the only reason I went with a White Oak was that some time back someone in the U.S. posted a pic of a felled tree askiing if anyone could I.D. it . I was the first reply and went with White Oak ( as it was obviouse it was an Oak of some sort ) and killed the thread there and then . It was a punt but I had an gut feeling as it was in America . ☺️
