  1. My saw dealer lets us tip for free on his ground as long as its not conifer. Some times we can tip at horse livery yards they put it down in gate ways and take off/landing spots on jumps . but we don't get paid . Other than that it costs us £9 foe 3 meters at our green site .
  2. Take the exhaust can off get a bit of steel tube cut a hole on the side you want the gases to come out . braze the tube in and blank off the old one . You are almost into porting ! L.O.L.
  3. I thought the same . Any canker seems to burn just fine when its on ash
  4. Had one for years . changed it for a 575 , did not like that so went back to 372 . Get it get it get it get it . One of the best .
  5. I don't think you can get a better job than a sharp file myself but I have heard th " Carlton Profi " is a goodun .
  6. 325 pitch 15 - 18 bar . stonking cutter !
  7. I was going to get one before Crimbo but when I went in to my dealer they had all been recalled for the problem of cutting out under load . This week he got is re stock ( supposedly cured of all its probs ) so i took a chance and bought one this week ( see my recent thread ) Can't fault it so far . Got bags of grunt and out performs my 357 . Its on a 15" bar full chis . and revs like a nutter . think I will go up one pn the powewrmate rim for more chain speed >

    560

I know we have had this before But - - - my dealer got his re stock of 560 saws ( after the initial recall ) and i bought one today . Its on a 15in bar full chis . Got an 18in bar as well . Very impressed. Knocked out really . Leaves my 357 for dead. Just hope it stays that way ! In the mean time spud is going to work his magic on my 346. I will put the 15in on the 346 and make the 560 the 18in when its all done . I feel like a spoiled kid ! ( no one is to go looking for one for me though ! )
  10. Every thing you have just said makes perfect sense to me Steve. Could you let me have the address you want it sent to ? I am picking it up tomorrow . Best regards Andy.
  11. Hi Steve/spud. Thanks for getting back mate. I have just phoned my dealer ( DM Chainsaws , Walberton West Sussex ) and the guy is baffeled . The new carb did not work so he put the old one back on . Bearing in mind it still has these problems to sort would you still be willing to take it on ? It is 50cc with de comp , think its the black coil . 07 model as I recall . Regards Andy.
  12. Spud. If I ever get my 346 back from my dealer (running probs I mentioned to you before ) Would you work on it for me as you have done yours . ? Will pay the going rate of course . It seems to me you could pull an 8 or even a 9 pin rim on it now with a 15 inch bar . Serious chain speed ! ! I am an old git and am from the BSA bantam / C 15 era. Ariel arrow was my weapon actually . I am impressed with yourr knowledge / research. ( major sucking up going on now !) But would be really interested if you would do a job on mine > Best regards Andy.
  13. Spud knows his stuff no question. However I would steer clear of after market pot and piston( speaking from experience ) Manufacturing tolerances are not as tight on these some times making it a false economy . What has happened to you seems to me to be a factory QC problem and as such Husqvarna should fix it . Press for that and good luck .

    Finally!

Hi. Did you specify the big double soft wood dawgs ( spikes , ) and the high top filter ? I had a 2003 one stolen that had all that and a a full wrap handle and when the replacement came it had only one small spike , a low filter and standard handle .
  15. Can't advise you on anything other than what I have and that is a Husqvarna 345 rx( or the latest equivilent model ). Can't remember if its a different number now . They get hammered in the summer and I think they are stonking brush cutters . I have worn out one since 2004 and on the latest model as from last summer . Very powerfull . they do make one sise larger at around 50 cc also .
  16. It sounds like you have got a hard nosed bar . It has no nose sprocket but the end is stellite faced to be hard wareing . I personally don't like them but it means you can use any chain that is the right gauge for the bar depending on whats on your rim on the power head . 3/8 .404 or what ever .
  17. I had the same thing on fleebay with Sony wide screen tellys . They were cheap , but not so cheap as to arrouse suspision . so I bought one . Nothing came and the " pissadiered" from ebay with my dosh and I suspect loads of other peoples . Lesson leanmed .
  18. I Agree with Steve . Day in Day out starting a little 346XP (the earlier one ) without de comp and then the new slightly bigger capacity one came along and wow ! my tennis elbow slowly went .
  19. Hope they are not from China town ! !
  20. Yea well it came with that . Its an expensive after market one which is fatter and allows the saw to sit on flat ground with the bar off the ground (long bar I should say ) Its running a 36" .404 on a GB titanium . It came from a buddie of mine in Canada . I think its a 2004 ish Can't remember will have a look - - - no sorry 02 . Anyway it goes like stink. Fells to me it runs faster than my 3120 but of course not as much torque .
  21. I have some 9 pin .404 rims that would go on my 395 . ( ported muffler da da da de daa )
  22. Can any one tell me how to calculate the number of extra drivers in a chain if you are going up from a standard 7 pin rim to a 9 pin rim ? I suppose its not as simple as 2 extra driver for the 2 extra slots in the rim sprocket ? Or is it ? ?
  23. I have had plenty of (in ascending order ) Fat slugs, dog poo , fox poo . I think the worst I had though was a tin of white gloss paint with the metal bramble head on - - - nasty business !
  24. There is one one the husky 50cc 346 and its a god send .
