  1. Just had a third look . The crank cases , although looking the right shape with the ribbing at the front , actually look plastic now to me . I suspect it is a wrongun now . Would like spud to have a squint ??
  2. Ah . Well spotted . Perhaps on reflection it is a complete wrongun !
  3. The exhaust looks identical to my 372 as do the filler caps . Good job cop[ying the box and hand book . I still think its a genuine saw the non OEM plastics bar etc .
  4. Thanks . I recon he will he is only 13 .
  5. Exactly . Some of the aftermarket plastics are not as well finished ( corner rads etc ) and have some distortion in them but they are supposed to be direct copies rather than sorta lookalikes if you see what I mean . I rthink its a proper Husky withe replacement non OEM parts .
  6. My son came off his skate board early this morning and was in a lot of pain . Turns out he has broken both radius and ulna . Had an opp to pin it . Ho hum
  7. We have 3 200s and 1 201 We had to get the 201 as Spud had my 200 and the other 2 were down . The 201 is pants by comparison . it is however improving slightly as time goes on but it won;t get much use now all three 200s are up and running again .
  8. The bar writing and bar paint are the wrong shade . The av springs are shiney not blued . the plastics are direct copies but not OEM as is the fuel tank . The exhaust looks rite and the crank caases . Just my take on it .
  9. Mmmm I see what you mean . There is fading on the all;y parts and what looks like " After market " plastics and tank . Think it is a real one withe some fake bits on .
  10. What about a "Load Handler " I have one on my pickup and they can be adapted for tailors. You can move loos loads or bagged up loads . It works as a conveyer belt . Save you dragging them from the far end . You will get a discount for being an arbtalk member I think . I would not be without one . Check out the thread on it .
  11. I always understood it to be mid/late summer for walnut as the sap rises early in the year ??

Annoy ? Jesus H Christ its a bit more than annoy for me . Its un printable what I would do to that .... person .
  13. Don't think it is an actual legal requirement just a Stihl Thing , I could be wrong here though .
  14. The thread has changed from what not to burn to whats best it seems . Inevitable really I suppose .
  15. Have them in my Burley stove they may sell it but probably not the exact size you need and probably outrageously priced again . try em .

    Husky 550XP

So I was not reading it wrong in the hand book about setting auto tune ? I still find hot start is better if you don't touch the red lever ( don;t put it on half throttle ) and only one pump of primer . All other saws used to hot start from tickover and this one does too .
  17. Yep as I posted earlier it is / was a different carb also I think the porting was not so radical hence the slower revving . This may have all changed on thenew "Xtorque" model .
  18. Phew ! thought I was in for a rogering for being honest . Thanks you guys .
  19. I don't know if its cos I am a sad old git .. but I very rarely use the chain brake . In fact the only time I use one is if I am sending a running saw up the tree and the climber has to pull it up and grab it . I am 60 this birthday and never used a brake before I got my tickets , used one as I remember to pass said tickets and then never since . I know people will go into one about HSE but I have never felt the need . I can't understand how people can rev a saw flat out and snap the brake several times first thing in the morning ! just to see if it works . Drives me nuts . Mechanical sympathy you see . Any way as a result I think I have only changed a brake band about 3 times in my life ! . If the saw is idling properly that does me . Putting my tin hat on now !
  20. Ah . now wasn't the old (discontinued ) 362 a smaller bar mount ? and .325 rim as standard ? Oh sorry off on one again !!:
  21. Mmmm . Its the age old question and the timeless answer (from me anyway ) would be to buy the best you can afford for the job in hand .
