  1. Hi Interesting and explanatory. I have some Fender guitars with quarter sawn north American hard rock maple necks . This makes them much more stable and less pron to warpage and creep . ( as explained in the vid ) nice one bud !
  2. Sounds like something is amiss but if it has a blue coil ( spark unit ) then its more than likely limited , if on the other hand it has a black one then no its not . spud will be on this shortly I suspect .

  7. Ok Sorry bud . Sounds like a possible chain sharpening thing . Rakers too shallow ? so it digs in and jams ,clearance , gullets need filing out if its been sharpened allot ? ( flanks rubbing ) Just clutching here !

  9. Explain to council what you just said in your post .
  10. The kerf is closing on the bar ? try an under cut . look to see where the stresses /levers/principal of moments what ever you want is going to act on the log . If it is supported both ends the kerf ( slot created by you cutting down ) is going to close on the bar . So under cut so the 2 halves fall away . If it is supported one end only over cut and the unsupported end will fall away . Sorry if you know this already .

  13. I am starting to worry about infected trees due to recent posts about ash etc etc
  14. Right next to me we have possibly the largest, and I think the oldest block of yew in the country ( could be wrong here ) Kingly Vale , South downs West Sussex . Will take the dog up there and see if there are any affected trees there .
  15. I could be wrong but I think the elm shoots from the very old root systems and reach about 12 - 20 feet before the the demise takes effect .
