  1. Its the "knife through butter" bit that did me in , Still laughing now !
  2. That bloke would make a good M.P. being able to lie like that and take the money !
  3. The battery one looks marginally quicker .
  4. Naa not offended at all just going with the flow ! Only in it as I was a bit board . You can call it a Ferrari if you want I really don;t mind . Hope you get a saw that fulfills your needs .
  5. So wrong answer really I suppose . H/ch nut I would avoid if any . All wood burns if bone dry . Some better than others is all .
  6. Syc is the least labor intensive . Seasons quickly splits easy peasy and burns well .
  7. no its not . It has a different carb and it revs slower . The 365 special has tjhe bottom end of a 372XP but it will not rev out like an XP saw because it is not designed to . I will however last a long time .
  8. I got to be honest, I got all emotional watching that . A BIG Up to all those involved .

365 is an older saw . 365 special is a 365 with a 372 bottom end making it a go for ever type of saw as it is sorta over engineered . Very dependable . There is a new X torque but I don't think there is a high revving XP . I could be wrong !
  10. Whats it like having an arse on your wrist ?
  11. Sorry I meant I have it recorded .
  12. I was convinced he meant Scaphoid (not sure of spelling) You have 2 . one in each wrist ?
  13. Crashed my VFR having to break hard over a shiny wet manhole cover . Done both . Was years ago though . think they healed ok but done loadsa other damage since !

It seems to me there may be a QC problem with 560 550 saws as there are so many varying reports . Some people haven't got a bad word to say about them and others are on their second or third saw . I realize some will be in forestry and get hammered day in day out were others will be occasional use and every thing in between . Husqvarna are in danger of shooting themselves ( anywhere ) if they don't get it sorted soon . As others have said absolutely stonking saws when running right . Problem is not all of them do .
  15. Same here . NGK are best . used a few Bosch seemed ok . Oregon are pants . They are cheap but fail quickly I have found .
  16. I have seen no evidence of this being true. I know of several older Woodwarm and Clearviews that show no signs of corrosion. I am seriously thinking of replacing our cast iron Saey Scope with one of these Burley stoves but can't decide what size model to look at. The Saey is rated at 12kw max but frankly is to powerful for our house unless it's -10, I was thinking of the 8kw version but Stubby's comment about how much heat they give out has got wondering if we could go down to 5kw Thanks for this thread it's good to read about new stoves and how good/bad they are I liked the look of the 8kw Burley Brampton . Its basically the same as my Hollywell but wider . ( gives a sorta "wide screen tv aspect ratio to the window ) but I did the room calculation and it would have been too much . As it is the door to the stairs is open and the arch way to the back room is open so it is doing more than the room its in .
  17. Its a flexible stainless liner and is sealed where it enters the spigot of the stove the passes up the original terracotta liners in the chimney (7,5 inch) and attaches to pot at the top with a standard cowl to stop the rain coming down . No infil needed.
  18. Honey Fungus ? Recently took one down that was a victim .
  19. Stubbes cops about a third of the price of woodhorn !Worth the extra mile or three
