  1. Yea , but look t all the dead and dying elms in the hedgerows around here and imagine adding ash to that . work is work I know but hey , have a heart !
  2. Stopped for an ice cream in the summer .When we got back a 346 was missing from the back . It only;y takes a second .
  3. All the above and get a good accountant who knows his **** .
  4. Total disaster for the trees and countryside if that happens , short term boost for fire wood merchants .
  5. Still would cost something But yep . That's the best compromise I suppose .
  6. and so it goes around L.O.L. ! I think we all understand now , hopefully . I still say bin it ! I was from the old school of " make do and mend " but down time verses cost on an item like that makes it hardly worth doing and if you spend too much time pondering it you have lost any way . My Gran , bless her , when she died was using tea towels to dry up the dishes that were full of holes . been like that for ages . In the drawer were 4 or 5 packets of new ones but no way was she gonna open them . See were I am coming from ?
  7. Spotted ! Wondered about that possibility myself . My bar-b-que does the same thing to the extremities of my pear tree .
  8. Thanks Garden . Lets face it if its looser than it was before Then its got longer ..What label you want to put on "longer" matters not !
  9. How about wear .. causing elongation manifesting itself as perceived stretch . ?
  10. I find the oak to be a bit slow , have to mix it with some ash / syc etc . Keep warm jon
  11. I would also say Husqvarna 346 or 357 , 365 maybe . I know its a gamble buying second hand but if you asked spud it would be reliable , he might have something, he does from time to time . Did notice 3 x Husky 372 on ebay for under £250 ??
  12. Nice one Jon . Keep piling them on bud !
  13. Bright with a bitter wind john . West Sussex.
  14. Thank you for all your hard work Steve . hope it goes smoothly bud .
  15. When I had my warranty stuff done I did not have to pay a penny . Don't know if there weas amny postage charge but if there was my dealer must have covered it .
  16. Hodge , man that is bad news . My customer service is top banana from my dealer ( D M chainsaws Walberton west Sussex ) and any thing over the top is sent to spud . ( I must confess I don't use the chain break , I am an old git and never been in the habit ) They don't make em like they did but tjhen they were less powerful and less chuckable back then . I guess there is a bit of a trade off .
  17. O.K. It will be worth it . Both my 372 and 390 have the high top filters . They will be going to spud for porting when I can find a gap in work and Spud has a gap in his hectic scheduled . I have a 346 that spud has ported and and it is in a totally different league to the standard saw . So yes it is worth it if you get it done by some one who knows there stuff . Spud does . end off .
  18. Bin it . The time and effort required , not to mention kit needed to repair it , makes it a rite off in my book . You could bne working and earning , just get a new one .
  19. He dines out mostly . I did not realize we had a mouse problem untill we got him 4 years ago . Our back garden looks like the Somme from 1914 ! He won't starve .

Hi . I have a 545RX and my bud has the bigger one 555 I think . Personally I prefer the 545 as it has shed loads of power and is noticeably lighter than the 50cc one . It will run 4mm dia "diamond edge " line no problem .
  21. Nice one bud . Onward and upward !
  22. I want to die any old way as long as its quick and then come back as my cat . The life of Riley he has . not a care in the world .
  23. If you do get one always use the decomp button to start it otherwise you will eventually clap out the pull start . Remember the ignition is always in the ON position . When you switch off it resets to on . I had trouible with mine in the early days . was sorted with an updated carb and a hotter spark plug all done under warranty . No problems since . I think it is a stonking saw . Best 60cc saw I have had .
