    Blower advise

If you can get the older type BG 85 or 86 get it . They are better than the new shape ones (as stated on this thread ) bg 85 is blower onluy , 86 is blower with little mulching blades in the intake . other than that they are the same if all you want is a blower . As a vacuum they are pants . you are looking at a billie goat if you want a vac but this is about blowers . As i said before I am a Husky saw man but always use a Stihl bg 85 . and can't fault it . Husqvarna did do a copy of it with a straiter air flow but I have never tried it because here is nothing wrong with both our bg 85s so can't comment .

  5. Can't help too much here but was the water clean or foul ? In other words was it storm water or sewage / contaminated in any way . ? This could affect your chances of saving them

  13. We have a 540A 7/8" and it has been reliable to date . South African Charles ( who used to work for Red Wood) Sharpens the rollers on a regular basis . This is essential for the efficient drag in of brash . The only slight and occasional problem, is sometimes some debree will get trapped under the floating ,right hand (as you look in the shoot ) top roller spigot and can hold the rollers slightly apart . This is cured by feeding a big log in . No other problems .

  15. 562 has 3/8 drive as standard as well .
  16. I don't think the 560 has rev boost . I'm preety sure its only the u.s. market 562 ??
  17. I did know that . My mate Joss was in the arrows . He is a pilot for BA nowadays but he did a stint in the red arrows when they flew Hawks I think . He never brags and you have to force him to talk about it and he always understates it but ---- how cool is that ??
  18. I tried these once and i think the plastic rollers wear out too quickly dropping the file too low . I recon the Oregon metal plate that clamps to the file is way better . Or there is free hand .........
  19. You got off lightly then !
  20. Total bastards . Really sorry for you . will keep an eye out . Those ex millatary saws are quite distinguishable . Sold on ebay I have seen .
