  1. Your best bet is to ask spud. He would advise savaging the o.e.m. cylinder if at all poss . Some of the after market kits are not so good . any way he will read this soon and be able to advise/sort it .
  2. Very dry spring with not much water when they should have been flushing in leaf ?
  3. My Claim to fame - - being faster than Ron through the first corner at Donnington on one of his race school firebades . I was slower preety much every where else though ! When it had all finished the instructers over laid the data logging with Rons lap to show where we were going wrong and it showed up there . Made I larf ! !
  4. .375" is three hundred and seventy five thousanths of an inch . or 3/8ths of an inch . simples !
  5. Ive don it . Drill the rivets out , or just drill the head and use a pin punch to pop them out . Rivets usually come with the new nose. You would benifit from the right size rivet dolly and a vice but not essential . I do agree with the others though that unless you have damaged a fairly new bar it is hardly worth it .
  6. My knee is totally shot after my leg was broken about half an inch above the knee. This was 9 years ago . I think I need a new one , hurts all the time . Glad you are all sorted now !
  7. I get that one too now and then !
  8. Some west coast logging firms replace their saws ( H 385xp at the time ) after 400 hours or so I was told .
  9. Under tempered for brittle - over tempered for soft ?
  10. I saw a giant wood wasp when I was a small boy . It flew into my mates glass house . It looked the same as your usual jasper ( black / yellow stripes ) only much bigger with the long spike on the tail through which it lays its eggs . At the time I thought it was a sting but know better now . Was cutting a yew hedge and out came the orange hornets ! I limped off as fast as I could !
  11. Hi Jon . Hope you are well bud ! ( thanks ) !
  12. Horses ! ! ! A whole different ball game . Too much grass, not enough grass , the ground is too hard , the ground is too muddy , mud fever, colic, laminitus , teeth, shoes, ...........
  13. Bean, Queen, sky diving , high speed film of Thames from source , the whole shooting match superb !
  14. A quality saw if maintained will last a very long time . the thing to check for is air leaks in fuel lines seals etc . Once air gets in it weakens the mix and makes it over rev leading to piston/pot failure . If you can avoid this with regular servicing some saws will go on and on .
  15. You are right in principal , the only thing is you can't get a 200 any more its got to be a 201 and lots of people don't like the 201 for what ever reason and want a 200 again so there is a market but not a supply - - -
  16. Ok . Sorry was not having a go ! just wondering about how ineficient my open fire was as apposed to a qua lity stove >
  17. Just out curiosity if that was a home owner in his own back garden would it still be a problem ?

  20. Yea I remember that one . You are right it is the best . Its the understated " Oh **** " that does it .
