    Ms460 ?

I would recomend the Husky 560 XP. I know you are a Stihl man but see if you can get a demo saw for a bit . Its the best 60cc saw around in my book .

    Strimmers

I Know you are a Stihl man . I do have 45cc and a 55cc Huscvarna . Both powerful ( can use 4mm dia line ) . Have found them both to be good vibe wise . Never noticed anything after using them . RX545 and RX455 - something like that Any way they are good me thinks .
  5. Yep . Rushing because you are under pressure is what I mean . You godda go were you have not been before to gain the knowledge and then the speed will come . The only analogy I can think of at the moment is motorcycle track day stuff . Learn each corner learn the lines and the speed will come . Rush in late on the brakes trying too hard and you go slower or worse . Unintentional de rail . Sorry .
  6. This is totally not fair on you . They are taking the piss in all honesty . You have to sit down and explain to your boss the situation . If he has dangled from a rope himself he should have more empathy with you . You are a long time dead ! ! The last thing you need is pressure from below . You take your time ,be safe and if that is not acceptable then ask to be put as second climber until your confidence and experience give you a bit more speed . I have seen this when a youngster is keen to prove himself and puts pressure on himself , expends huge amounts of energy and gets not very far . Relax . Tell em how you feel . Build up slowly . You will be top banana, I know because of your honesty and openness . I would gladly work with you based on what you are saying . It will all come good bud .
  7. Been working my way through Cannon printers . Had several all performed well. As soon as the ink runs out its cheaper to by a new printer than replace the cartridges !
  8. Its not Lloyds TSB or any other bank for that matter . Its scammers wanting your bank details so they can rip you off .

    Tweaked 560 !

After reading and contributing to the post " can a 560 be modified " Petemate390XP said that gains could be had from a few mods . He has done some competition saws which are heavily modified but I wanted something extra for my " every day " saw . So I asked him if he would mod mine and he said yes . Soooo here goes -- Sent the saw power head to Pete and 8 days or so it came back . Without giving away any secrets as to whats been done ( a tweek here and a tweek there ) a muffler mod and and a bit of electronic wizzard stuff it now performs way better than before . It is snappy , crisp , loud ! ! ! and f-----g fast ! In short its better ! Many people would not think you could improve this saw but you can . Its not a racing saw for comp use only, it is still the saw for every day use . Imagine the power and torque of a 90 - 100cc saw with the weight of a modern 60cc saw and you some where near . So there we have it -- job done ! .
  11. I could be wrong here but I think the Husky 435 is a "redmex" saw just re badged ? ?
  12. If there is nothing wrong with the av on your saw there are some gell type gloves ( I assume you are wearing saw protection gloves ) on the market which might hep to absorb some vibration also a saw with heated handles can help
  13. I use the Husqvarna "Technical" front protection only .They have sipped vents down the back of the legs and in the bum .
  14. When the air line and the detergent and the carb cleanmer and all fail I just buy a new one .
  15. If you prune back to the next good node to promote regrowth surely in a year or twos time the man with the mower will come and " crown lift" again . Just take them back to the collar and every one will be happy ?
  16. Cut em off clean just in front of the collar . They will doughnut over and heel .
  17. All Husqvarna Top handle saw to date are total pants ! . The forth coming T540 looks to be a ripper so hang on for that . Husky ground saw are the billie bollox IMHO.
  18. Pleased for you Charlie . Well donr bud !
  19. Oh come ON ! I said that way back ! ! ! Quote " spud is your man ! "
  20. No I am talking bollox of course I am thinking of a Stihl 3/8 lo pro chain
  21. Usually a 1/4 Stihl "lo pro" 1/4 pitch chain is sharpened with a 4.0mm ( 5/32 in old money) dia file
  22. I am totally ignorant of carving bars - chains - technique . But a 1/4 dia file sound a bit big . What pitch chain are you using ? Only want to learn not telling you your I know better !
