  1. I can sense a bit of tench-ion
  2. Agree with the first bit , but if any one is getting up at 11.00 am then they must be dead !
  3. I have used the " cheese" out of the gob cut before . You get a new wedge every fell !
  4. I think ( but could be wrong ) the first auto tune was on the 576 . The version that is on the 560 / 550 is the second generation. If you plug it in it can tell you how many hours it has run how long it has idled and what make of pants you were wearing on any Tuesday . Your dealer needs the soft ware and a pc to be able to use it . Having said that if you set it when you first get the saw ( by cutting heavily the full width of the bar for 3-5 mins ) it should take care of its self hence the name auto tune . We shall see --------
  5. What about the noise from the mini digger / power pack ? If this bloke is the typical knob/bizzy body that he sounds like the noise of your breathing could be a problem . Don't start before 8,00 am and get on and do it with your big Huskys . If its only a days work or so he can lump it surely ?
  6. Hey Paddy its no biggie bud . I agree with you Oregon branded is best my friend
  7. Me and my buddie were coppicing hazel a month or two back both using our 346 saws . I picked his up as he had taken mine ( like you do ) and I honestly thought there was something wrong with his . I had got so used to mine his seemed like a slug ! I think a spud tuned saw will last just as long if not longer than a standard saw as it is running more efficiently .
  8. I think you could go up to 28" at a pinch but give the saw plenty of time to cut , don't force it . Keep the chain well sharp . Sorry if I telling what you know already !
  9. If you get a 346 and want to make it perform like , or better than , a 550 p.m. spud to give you a price for a tune . he will port the saw and get it running faster and stronger than standard safely . He did mine and it screams pulling a full chisel chain on a 15" bar being driven with a 8 pin powermate rim . Worth every penny in my book !
  10. I thought I was right about Carlton and Sarp and Windsor . Thanks .
  11. The Stihl you mentioned is having problems as stated . The 346 is tried and tested . The 550 is the 346 replacement and not been out long . Having said that it does not seem to be having a bad time so far ! I would go for a 346 if you can still get one 550 if you cant . This is based on me having a 346 . I also have a 560 which had some issues to begin with but all sorted now .the 550 is a smaller looking 560 and a cracking saw by all accounts so either Husqvarna bud . Welcome by the way .
  12. I have just bought one . Tried it out today on a load of logs and it works a treat . As has been said you could empty the whole load on to the ground in seconds or dribble it into a barrow . Saves a hell of allot of arse ache ! Get one !
  13. Hi Steve . Are you well mate ? hope so . 346 still punching above its weight . How would you feel about working your stuff on my 395 ? It has a twin port muffler already but I suspect that's about all but don't know for sure . It's performing as it should at the moment . just thought if you could do to it what you did to my 346 it would be even better . What do you think bud ? Regards Andy .

  14. Depends were you have done most of your work and how old you are. If you have been up trees all your life it will be the 020 .If you have been in the woods all your life it will be Huskys 254 . In another 10 years time i suspect it will be the brilliant 560 . Its all subjective and relative and that and stuff and thingy .
  15. All in all probably the most sensible answer yet when all is considered. I wish to amend my answer to the same as miker .
  16. Yea, Stitched up like a kipper !
  17. Yep , fair comment . I think/hope I have had all the problems fixed ! Actually had 2 saws for a few weeks , husky gave me a loaner whilst they fixed mine . told me to run both for a while . Given it back now as mine seems to be sorted now . Hotter spark plug new revised carb new ignition map . Now it a stonker . Have you tried one yet ?
  18. Second that . Hsusqvarna 560 13",15", 18" The best 60cc saw ever made !
  19. Yep . Think you are right !
  20. O.K. could be wrong .
