  1. Don't want to go over old ground so will get to the point. I run my 390 with a 28" bar 3/8 pitch and an 8 pin powermate rim . I run my aging 373 on a 24" bar 3/8 pitch and an 8 pin rim . I used to run my 357 on an 18" .325 pitch and an 8 pin rim . All with no protest at all . A 560 does not like it . It should be able to cos a 357 can . The only thing here that is different is auto tune ! Does anyone else think that auto tune stops you getting the full potential out of a saw ?
  2. Take your bar off ,put a crud scraper down the groove and dig out all the build up . Make sure the oil feed in hole is clear . Make sure the nose sprocket is free and you can turn it by hand . Make sure there are no burrs folded into the groove and file off any on the outer edge if there are any . Make sure the bar is not pinched anywhere , prize it open slightly if it is . Sharpen the chain and set the rakers correctly . Tension the chain correctly with the bar tip pushed up . Go cut wood . If it still gives you trouble then it needs investigating in the shop . Maybe try a different bar and chain combo none to be good . Beyond that beats me !
  3. As has been stated by pleasant there are many options avliable on most pro saws . Oregon manufacture a bar with xxxxxx09 as part of its part number . This bar will fit allot of saws in various sizes, pitches, and gauges . The main thing to be sure of is that the oiler outlet on the saw body lines up with the in feed hole in the bar . Look up on the Oregon site for options for your saw .

    560xp Vs MS362

Ditto that about the 560 with an 18" bar until ---I had the hotter plug fitted by my dealer . This is a recomendation from Husqvarna Technical. Now its fine .
  5. 346 13"-15"bar , 372 20"-24bar 390 28"-36" bar . Should cover most situations
  6. Oh . Really sorry about that Mark . Do you think o.p. has got some useful info now
  7. The whole police situation is totally pants and to top it all they are closing all the village police stations and laying coppers off left right and center . Tony Martin had it right !
  8. I got cold saw from drinking out of a cracked cup .
  9. I agree with Miker that if you got a pro saw it may never be used to its full potential but that won t hurt it . Also it does not mean you cant have one if you want one . I would get the best saw I could afford . The bigger the powerhead the least stressed it would be so the longer it will last ( providing out do the usual maintaining of it ) You fill yer boots bud !
  10. Stu . my 372 is 10 years old , must be , all its had apart from the usual consumables is a new tank a few years back which split along the seam . that one has now split but I fixed it with JB weld . not pretty but works .
  11. Im on a coppice efficiency (esus forestry) with a group of husky fanboys/girl taking the piss. Should have gone all orange!!!!!!! Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2 Orange and silver . Its the only way . Simples !
  12. I agree with the above . I have 2x 560s and a 372. amongst others . The 372 puts out the same power as a 576 and is lighter . Soo 372 for me .
  13. You don't need a piston stop compression is enough . make sure the decomp valve is not pushed in though !
  14. I have just been out to find one , there are some lying around as one comes with each saw you by ( recently bought a couple ) The plunger does spring up and down and it does pump grease . Used to grease bar tip but don't bother now for all the reasons mentioned .
  15. The 560 has the "new generation " saw handle which started with the 575 and the current 576 . I actually prefer it . I don't think you can get it with the smaller dia handle .
  16. Just to be sure -- You don't put the nozzle in the bar groove , you put it in the small hole on the side of the nose of the bar . Forgive me if that what you are doing . The only trouble I have with these is the red cap falls off all the time . Mine always pump grease through the hole into the sprocket nose though . There is a recent post suggesting its best to never grease them at all - - - -

    chain damage

Even different clean wood will make a difference . Oak will dull a chain sooner than , say poplar . Any kind of soil will take the edge off sometimes quicker than you think . As soon as the chip becomes dust you are forcing a dull chain .
  18. Check out the post " anyone having problems with the new 560" Save us all doing it again . The story of mine is in there .
  19. As long as it is a "special" and not the older plain old 365 . The special has the stronger bottom end , crank, bearings etc from a 372 . If you put a 372 top on an older 365 it might be too much for it . Just a thought .
