  1. Well thats the saw I thought I had bought ! !
  2. Hi Charlie . Thats good to hear bud . Have you cut the full width of the 18" bar with the 8 pin on ,in big wood for a good while ,or just nipping up and coppicing type of stuff ?
  3. Never tried a 550 . Its my 346 that is a ripper thanks to spud . I agree a 560 should run an 18" . In tha back of the book it gives up to a 20" with a .325 chain and a rediculas 28" with a 3/8 ! !
  4. Ok may be but I would have thought that a 60cc saw of that caliber should run an 18" bar no probs . It says in the husky spec an 18" is ok . I have never had a 60cc saw so far that would not run an 18". That would be 262, 362 and 357 . You may well be right . My "spud" tuned 346 runs a 15" with an 8 pin power mat rim with no protest so efectively making the 560 redundent it seems !
  5. Ok . I now have 2 ( thats two ) 560s . My original saw has returned from Sweeden . They say they could not find anything wrong . They cut wood for a tank full running on aspen ( which I have not ) using a 15" bar ( I used an 18") cutting 10 to 12 inch diameter wood ( I cut the full width of an 18" bar ) . They have not asked for the other saw back ! I could have 200 saws but if non work ? ? ? , Not had a chance to try yet . been on the grass all week .
  6. I think the problem may be that sometimes people forget that the ignition is on all the time and they lift the lever which puts the choke on. If you pull it once like that, when its hot , it will flood . Prime it once or twice maybe and just pull the cord . leave the switch alone . I could be wrong - - -
  7. As steve (spud) has said you could try the heavyer filter . I don't think the air injection has anything to do with the exhaust gases though . As I understand it it drags clean air in through the stater cover and blastes it to the filter separating the dust with the centrifugal force . There are several vids showing how better they cope against a Stihl . check em out .
  8. Hi . I know nothing of your problem but the coditions you are working in seem perfect for engine ware . I am in the u.k. but my bro lives in the bush about 45mins from Perth and it kinda sandy/ dutsy there . Just replying cos no one else had !
  9. Hi Sanny . Its on the seriel number tag . follow the top hadle down to the clutch side and its just obove the second (upper) handel mounting screw and behind the handel itself .
  10. I had one of the first 2011 560s . Mine died in the cut when worked hard and was a pig to start when warm/hot. I was told there was an updated carb . I had one fitted under warranty and it cured the hot start but not the shutting down in the cut . Sooo they sent it back and sent me a loan saw which is also 2011 saw. yet to try it but they said if its ok then to keep it . As I understand it all 2012 saws are fine . Would like to know if yours is a 2011 or a 2012 ? could you check ? Ta.
  11. Hi Steve . Hope you are well bud . The 346 you did for me is a ripper ! It is really noticable when you use it side by side with a standard one . It makes the standard one seem like it has something wrong with it ! . Still running on an 8 pin . Shoot out sounds fun . looking forward to the results !
  12. O.K. this is getting a bit of boring now I know but just to update anyone who is having trouble sleeping I have another 560, used, that was sent from Sweeden also a 2011 saw ! as a loaner / later changed to " if you don't get any trouble with that one just keep it " saw. We shall see - - - - - :
  13. Excelent point , well made Steve ! I shall withdraw into my shell !
  14. Did you mean the crank bearings ( left and right ) or did you mean the big end bearing in the con rod ?
  15. for permits read prevents . lost the moment now !

  19. Don't know is the honest answer but if its someones house in a residetial are we start a 8.00 am . In the woods its 7.30 am .
  20. Just my opinion but I don't think you can get a better job than with a new file . I it needs grinding then it probably needs bining !
