  2. I worked my spaniels for 20 years ish on the West Dean Shoot near Chichester . Some good high birds from there , up in the arboretum behind West Dean Collage . My mate is the keeper .
  3. 80s is the clue . Oil was not such good quality back then , some dodgy hair cuts too I remember !
  4. Just a quick resurrection on this thread . Been using my 560 all day . Big oak dismantle . Several tanks of fuel through it . Worked fine up the tree and on the ground . Hot started every time . No problems what so ever .......

  7. My Syc gets that pinkish/whitish mould on the cut face . Its not a big deal though . I think it seasons quicker than anything else in the hard wood department . I leave it in the round till I need it also .

    I think if you have to meet new emission regs you are going to get a drop off in performance but hat is no excuse for poor build quality .....

  10. I have the Husky 125B and the Stihl BG85 ( old shape , blows better than new shape ) and there is not much in it . The Husky , on paper is supposed to have more puff but the Stihl is just as good and seems slightly better but I think that's coz its louder !
  11. I got the alloy " twisted " Bashlins with Velcro top straps .
  12. I doubt very much if he has " ground " it out . To open it out by .1 of a mm would need a precision grinder with a very thin wheel not to mention the set up . I bet he has just prised the rails apart with a screw driver in an attempt to fit a 1.6 chain in a 1.5 groove resulting in tight spots . The bloke is a muppet . He owes you a new bar at the least .
  13. Dependent on budget there are shed loads to choose from . You godda try them yourself really . I can recommend the Miendl boots if that helps ....Oh and Hi and Welcome....
