  7. Was trained in the distant ( very distant ) past with a stick welder and ok with that . Got my own mig and it mostly comes out like bird muck! which is strange cos I was good at tig ! and mig .....

  10. Ok . I will work on that . Got to fell some pines in a plantation next week so not too much hiking ! Will give them an outing . Normally ware Meindel ( spelling ) . Got these for under £ 200 in my size , brand new but been on the shelf a bit . Comfy alright , bit like ski boots ! My mate does all the climbing when we are on tree surgery and I do the ground work . Some times we get a forestry job so will bring my other boots just in case . I bought them as every one said the were the dogs bollox in boots . Not got a problem comfort wise . just a bit stiff . can see how this is an advantage climbing . Thanks every one .

  17. My mate nicked the top of his wrist with a 200 ( holding and cutting ) and now its healed up it looks like a slug crawling in his hand !

    Well there should be a small hole on the side of the tip ( sometimes both sides ) which will accept a bar tip grease gun ( a point type nozzle ) but to be honest I find it best not to grease them , assuming its rotating freely to start with . Theory is the grease attracts crud which can jam/wear it out quicker . Personal thing really . Some people do and some don't.
  20. Field maple burns well , so does Japanese maple . Burnt the both . Split and season and keep it aired but dry . Don't know what it weighs . If your down on the bump stops of the rear axle you got a bit too much in !
  21. Can't see a harness ?? Oh sorry can see one now . I would say it goes in the bin . Get a proper Stihl or Husqvarna one . More comfortable and more control than those strap type things .
