Did it cost more with that bit on it ? I suppose there are no more standard ones left in the shops . Here's a tip .... send it to spud and get him to poet it . He did mine and it runs a 15" bar full chiz and an 8 pin powermate . as good if not better than a 550 .......
  9. Yea but we are all babbling idiots now !!!
  10. He says its all split and stacked in what sounds to me like the most ideal conditions as all his other wood drys in months in the same situation . We desparately need an answer/solution here
  11. I can't do anything much properly now as I am an old busted up git !!!

    New saw

Got a 560 and that's a stonker so 550 will be also . Get one you know you want to !!!!!!
  20. Don't think so . Check for loose wires now and then perhaps ?
  21. 385 was discontinued when they upped the capacity and called it a 390 . Same saw though , slightly bigger piston .
  22. Thanks . Understood . Not tosh then !
  23. Ok . I thought it an odd explanation but its what the bloke who owned the out board said . May be it was a load of tosh .......
  24. Yea got that but it just says reserve met buy it now price is no longer available as bidding has started . Are you having a guess at what it may have been ? How would you determine which bid met the reserve ? Its currently at £350 as I type but it may not have been that particular bid that topped the reserve or am I still missing a trick here ??
  25. Apparently marine 2 stroke oil is different though . My mate borrowed an out board but took his own saw fuel and it ran for a short time then stopped and left him all at sea so to speak . He had to row back . The bloke whose out board it was said it was down to the oil ??
