Well I respectfully disagree . If you saw through some earth / grit with any chain its is bolloxed no mater what type . Yopu godda sharpen up .
  9. No you missed my point . All made from original tooling to original spec and identical in every respect other than the bloke operating the press, lathe , milling machine has a 2013 hair cut and not a 1945 hair cut .

Ok I still think that if you keep full chisel in wood and nothing else it wont loose its edge any sooner than semi . A dull chain is a dull chain however it occurs .
  11. Yea can see that too . I am a crap business man and do stuff for nothing some times
  12. Ok understood . The times hey are a changing .
  13. Maybe you could get the customers to buy ( from you ) a sensible hatchet or similar and split a few bits as they need them from your well seasoned logs . It works for me !

Yep . Recently bought a Jonny red 2152 which I think is a Husky 353 and it has the narrow kerf or pixal bar and chain . . No matter how well I sharpen it it does not cut as fast as my 346 which has full chisel .325 . but then that is spud ported so not a fair comparison . I do feel however that the semi chisel chains don't cut as fast as full chisel irrespective of power source and this thing about them cutting on if there is some damage is bollox . A dull or damaged chain is a wast of time whatever the type . Just me though !
  15. But it would be in every in every respect other than the time frame .
  16. Made I fair chuckle did that !
  17. Understand what you are saying but when does it become a fake ? E.G. some modern companys buy up all the old tooling for something that has been out of production for , say 20 years . Ship it out to say, India or somewhere and go into production . The product is identical in every way but not made in the original location or even country but made with the original tooling . Is that a fake ? It is possible to make a spitfire mk IV from original tooling with a Merlin engine ( not cost affective but possible ) but it will never have seen service in the battle of Britain ........Is it still a Spitfire ?
  18. I sorta could see that coming as that is obviously the kinda guy you are I would be thinking along the same lines . Not good business but hey !
  19. It is a worrie . My old Dad is 88 . I remember his Muim ( my Gran ) being conned by door to door scum bags who gave her £50 for 2 chairs that were worth £400 - £600 when they had been valued . She thought she had a bargen !
  20. Yea sorry meant radial Doh !
  21. Not messing about there then !
