  3. Was an old J'red With no AV a bigish bar and all metal . Don't know where it is now and don't need to know coz I would struggle to pick it up !

  5. Ok ok . We all seem to be in agreement here . Any thing that is bone dry is good and Holm oak or English oak in last thing is good to keep the stove in . Sorted .

  7. There all good Jon no danger ! The oak can be slow but you get to know how to mix it for the best . I like to put a lump of Holm oak on last thing to keep it in for the morning .. There are shed loads of good wood as long as its dry its all good !
  8. Would not moan if I was lazing by the pool with an ice cold lager ( for Jon a cizzer ) . In the woods is good coz of dappled shade . In someones garden is cruel at the moment . Us British arn't happy unless we can have a grizzle and moan about the weather . Its always tooooooo something !
  9. For me ( not customers ) . Dead Elm , Dead hawthorn , and the least labor intensive wood there is............. good old sycamore . !
  10. Yep its slowed to a stand still here . Most of it looks like a cricket wicket . On a side note having to feed horses hey in their paddock cos no grass to eat . Bonkers !
  11. I remember 76 . I lived on the beach for weeks ! Also remember the winter of 62/63 . Rode my push bike on the Chichester cannal . It snowed for ever back then .....

  14. I cut some green , living conifer 2 weeks ago . Just a single trunk . Cut it to log length and split it and put it on my log store roof . With this weather its ready now ! 15% on the gauge .......

  16. I agree with all the safety stuff . Been shooting for 45 years + and never had an accident . I do remember one of the first times I was clay shooting at the age of say 16 and I turned around in the stand with a closed gun and the bloke behind me pointed out my error . I learn t from that . On the silly side there are some members of the caravan club that would be fair game in my opinion ........
