  1. The holes are to mount an optional ( it would seem ) steel plate that covers the front and wraps underneath the oil tank . Extra protection . Thats whats on mine anyway .
  2. It has but hey . brilliant . Send the seller the link ! ( I don't know how to . sorry .)
  3. A second hand Silky Zubat just sold on the bay for more than a similar new one and that included postage . When people put a search in they don't seem to monitor the other similar items and get caught up ion a bidding war . Makes I fair chuckle .....
  4. Yea exactly . Some one who is innocent and not in tjhe know buys this pile of poo and then thinks that is what Husqvarna saw are like . Makes me spit ! .....
  5. Ok I contacted the seller through " ask a question " and informed them that it was a Zomax saw made in China and then counterfeited with false Husqvarna lettering . They were not convinced . I told them that if they have been " had " then I was sorry for then but they should advertize it as a Husqvarna as it is clearly not . Perhaps if some of you guys gave it to them strait they may change their mind ???
  6. I recon it would as well and that is fine if you are messing and running against the clock but I have tried those flat nylon filters and you have to clean them of every 30 mins from continuous cutting were as the corrugated flock type you can do when you get home or even every other day !
  7. You look like a hat rack in your avitar , must be heavy bones bud !

  14. O.K. the head may fit but the opening for his shoulders needs to be wider than that ! He must have broad shoulders the ribbing you lot are giving him !!!!
  15. Ridiculously hot now Jon . Tjhe Goodwood festival of speed is on this weekend . Traffic is a night mare ! Got to the Red Arrows as usual . Display right over me .....
  16. Hi Matty . I got two of those ( one on my 372 as well ) from a guy in the states . He uses a welding technique to enable stainless ( the exit pipes ) to be successfully joined to mild steel . He does a range for Stihl saws as well . Not seen him advertizing lately so must be bizzy cutting .
  17. Hi Toby and welcome . I hate having hot sweaty legs but it gonna happen . However the lightest and coolest ( and best made ) strides I have at rthe moment are the Pfanner Gladiator Ventilation . Not cheap but the quality is there .
  18. I just take it to the post office . They send it parcel force 48.
  19. I always post em Jon . You can go the whole hog and insure it for the full amount if you are worried
  20. Jon my old mucker . If you want Steve to do a job on your 660 just ask him If its possible he can do it and you will notice a difference , really bud .....
  21. Big J I godda disagree ( respectfully ) about screw type splitter being no good on knotty stuff . They are only no good if you don't have enough torque on tap . If you have a big enough tractor , or engine they are unstoppable . I have seen some grizzly, gnarly snotty stuff stop on a big hydraulic splitter only to be chewed through by a screw type on a big tractor . It is all dependent on the torque available to turn the screw rather than the screw itself . My experience anyways ......
  22. Hi Jon . Yep Steve has done a cracking job . the 390 runs a 28" .375 bar and chain . Next got a 395 on a 36" .404 . and a 3120 that has a 42" and a 50" .404 .
  23. The talented Spud ( Steve ) has returned my Husqvarna 390 XP . It looks the same as before it went , a little cleaner maybe but the same . I have to report it is a completely different animal !! . Crisp , responsive with an aggressive bark . I can't say enough about what a superb job Steve does . So far he has breathed on my 346 , my 372 and now my 390 . Just got 2 more to go and will have the full stable !! ( when he has rested ) Top banana and no mistake ! Big thanks to Steve .
  24. Don't forget the extra deep voices
