  1. I don't advocate invasive engineering . Also I don't think it fits the definition which , as you say , states " within a tree " this is around the tree ! Just me being pernickety .......
  2. Thing is David its not really a tree house its a 2 story platform with a tree growing up the center . You could build the structure anywhere with or without a tree up the middle . When I was a nipper it had to be built in the tree and supported by the tree .
  3. And there was me thinking ...they do all the ground work drainage , sewers , footings , bases , put in all the water and gas and electric services , first and second fixings build em up and top em off , then land scape and then ooo we better get all them trees out ........
  4. Pleached or espalier My old granddad had some pear trees worked like that . Kept tghem flat against the boundary . Worked well . I was only little .......
  5. Hot sunny here Jon . Off this week as my 10yr old daughter is at " jockey camp " at Goodwood House ( festival of speed place ) . Its a Goodwood pony club thing so I am tied up with that this week ......

  14. Hi Steve . Thanks for the advice . The only multipliers I have used in the past would be totally unsuitable , more like winches . A big Penn senator and a Mitchel 624 . Still have them . Used to do a lot of wreck fishing . Beach casting will be new to me but I ubderstand what you are saying . Its all in the technique !
