  4. The windblow course is not in the classroom for one . Its a very much hands on practical course to make students aware of extreme compression and tensions windblow trees come under . Great if youve tackled such things at a young age and developed a feeling for this but many people have not had this opportunity and I'm sure they would come away alot more initiated for want of a better word for attending this course .
  5. NEVER EVER assume a root plate will sit back up . IT HAS TO sit back up .. You will be killed if you dont tension the top side with a winch or something , no question .

  17. Tdci must be an incredible motor then because one of the best things about my 90 td5 is the beautiful tickover of the engine , its just got that sound of quality. Would like to take Mendips advice and chip it though but too much still to do to it first ( blingy stuff )
  18. Hello Simon , i burnt out a large dead beech stump a few weeks back there after it being discussed on a thread here. Although it would have worked well you need to get a REALLY hot fire going . The problem i had was i couldnt keep my eye on it 24/7 ( it takes a long long burn for a huge stump ) . I had the stump glowing extremely hot .... so extremely hot it wouldnt extinguish easy even after copious buckets of water . Too time consuming and dangerous imo . Try and get mechanical removal would be my shout .
  19. Could be worse buddy ... Roy Hodgson could be manager I better get out of here
