  1. Fair points Ironbark .. but may i give my perspective on it . I'll start with Brad Wiggins outburst . For someone to try and humiliate him and his team in front of the worlds eyes in what is the biggest and most important point in his cycling career was simply unacceptable and the reporter has simply no morality imo . Wiggins probably shouldn't have swore but he was quite rightly incensed and i thought retorted with a good answer . I've been following Cav's career for a few years now and don't know what you mean by his outbursts being worse ?? He had a reputation for being awkward at interviews and a bit monosyllabic , flinging his hat out the team bus etc but if you read his book and try to understand Cavendish the person he really is a decent and VERY humble bloke . He takes defeat VERY badly , so badly he cannot talk to team mates ( who feels he has let down terribly ) and is just a nightmare to be around . So when some reporter starts asking maybe some irrelevant questions he has sometimes not been the most co-operative but certainly not rude , but has not been as bad lately i feel . What Cav has above everyone else is a burning passion and this is sometimes misconstrued as arrogance . Read his bio , you'll love it honestly . I've seen the Kimmage interview and really it doesnt change my opinion of Lance Armstrong . He is simply for me the greatest athlete that has ever lived . Would i like to go for a beer with him ?? probably not . Inspirational ? well he certainly was and is for me .
  2. If there your mates i wouldnt like to meet your enemies Crikey , maybe you'd be better off in Benidorm !!
  3. The people i hang about with are decent folk with no axes to grind and simply would not entertain any ' trash talk ' as regards this type of b.s There are always exeptions to this of course but then again i wouldnt really want anything to do with them so i couldn't give a rats arse what they think . If you take a second to look at another thread on here to do with the Tour de France you will see i'm fully behind an English cyclist winning one of the biggest prizes in sport and i'm sure many other Scots , Welsh , Irish watching are roaring him on aswell. Hardly a peep from anyone else I can only speak from a Scottish perspective and we are a courteous , proud and polite nation ..
  4. I hope your not talking about Benidorm and football here Rich .
  5. Fair enough , i'm not particularly a big fan of him or tennis myself , just seemed a bit unnecessary spitefull .
  6. He's looking ace ... I'll get my coat ...
  7. ???? You clearly stated in your first post an anti Scottish sentiment . Youve changed your tune completely .
  8. Simply not true Rich , English football arrogance aside .
  9. I think generally 28-32 is the prime years for major strength / endurance events .
  10. Pathetic statement that The support us Scots give to ' English ' athletes goes beyond the call of duty . He was a blinkin kid back then for gods sake ..
  11. Thats what i thought Jon , it looks a clean one at that
  12. Bradley Wiggins in the Maillot Jaune !!! Hard days ahead for team Sky but history in the making here possibly .

  14. Looks just like Aberdeen ! Great pics , must do it one year
  15. I dont think he has lost his edge ... He is no longer with a team who's sole intent is to see him over the line ( HTC days ) . Team Sky's priority is for Brad Wiggins to win the GC , he has had no team mates at all at the sprints . He has conditioned himself for the Olympics , no question.. where he will have a lead out train to see him victorious . He ALWAYS starts poorly at the TDF but seems to come on strong later in the tour . He will win the final champs elysee stage which i believe is his only goal this year
  16. Someone had to crack on that one , long overdue ... Getting as bad as those that dont live anywhere aswell
  17. These have been posted on here before and alot of people liked them I'll not say anything cos i said enough the first time
