  1. It'l probably be that relay that's the problem order new one or give it a tap, about £5 from landrover.
  2. Yeah right pain to do on defenders, they look a bit like the flux capacitor off back to the future car lol.
  3. Yellow relays under drivers seat playing up. That might be what you can hear buzzing. They control power to fuel pump etc.
  4. Just taken delivery of one this week! The minor mods from the old design have made a major improvement. Smaller gear loops and Q/R leg loops are much better. Havnt worn it much yet but feels good so far.
  5. I'm assuming you own the later style ranger ie 2007 onwards? A customer of ours sold his after a few weeks coz it scared the poop out of him and he wouldn't drive it again. He ook it to a ford dealer after it happened, they didn't find anything wrong but one of the techs told him it wasn't the first one they'd had in with brake problems. ???

Glad your enjoying it,hope the weather is being kind to you.Plan your routes up the tree and look around for the next branch, sometimes it's right behind you. You don't need to be fast but you do need to be efficient, don't be too fussy picking your next anchor when changing over. The rescue practice will help your confidence and speed. Keep us posted how you get on, good luck
  7. Friction saver of some form?five karabiners should see you through most situations, including rescues. Suitable climbing helmet.
  8. Yep 4cyl would never start when cold, 3cyl is the better engine, choice of direct or indirect injection.
  9. Good find, had one brought into workshop this morning, suspect head gasket failure but doubt it'l be that simple. They still sell for good money, especially with original tin work.
  10. What sort of quantity? Green or seasoned? Cord or logs?
  11. I was surprised that there wasnt more disscount on some things but as has been said there are obviously some major costs involved for the dealers.Still a good day out though, enjoyed watching the climbing.
  12. October I've been told
  13. Fig of eight and double fig of eight. Possibly alpine butterfly.
  14. I run a 24" and 20" on my 372 it handles the 24" well IMO. If you've been using a 346 with a 20" on it the 372 will be major step up.
  15. It all needs to be less than 6months old with receipts to prove or relevant LOLER paper work in date etc I think. I used my own harness but that was all.
  16. Get on to the nptc website and download a copy of the assessment schedule to read, and read it over and over and over and over and over.... Makes the practical training easier if you already know the theory side, less info to try and remember in short time. Try to practice the basic knots too.
  17. I'm new to this axe throwing thing, how big is the axe?! Think I'l make a donation and let someone else do the throwing! Looking forward to it though, first time I'l have been.
  18. Never been in the gardens, should make more of an effort to visit really, right on my door step too. Cracking pics, glad you enjoyed the westcountry.
  19. Nice hinge. Do you think he cuts his own hair too?
  20. Awesome set up! Looks like a big job?Got any videos?!
  21. Clark forest list a Oregon powermatch 3/8 42" (423RNDD009) might be worth a try?
  22. It was hard work but enjoyable. Had a tough week training, heavy rain for two and half days but it made for good practice, rather that than it staying dry all week then raining for my assessment. Bit nervous to start with on the day but it all came good and I was happy with myself,My instructor was brilliant, very helpful.now I can get out and fine tune my climbing.
