  1. Just me being out of touch with the prices of the 110s, thought they were worth about £4000 but just had a quick look and you're right a good one is £7000+
  2. Another idea would be to let people know where abouts you are. You never know who's reading this thread and may be looking for a brash dragger for 3 days a week
  3. To the exhaust
  4. Nice fix Spud That's the sort of cost effective fix that keeps people coming back to you!
  5. Friend has the tractor mounted version of this, excellent bit of kit. If the petrol one is as good you won't get better for the price, splits in both directions so really fast. Powerhorse 13-Tonne Towed Horizontal Log Splitter 208cc Also listed in the latest Northern Tools catalogue but strangely not on their website Also not road legal max speed 15mph so only suitable for moving around the yard etc
  6. That makes more sense
  7. Congrats mate, you must be proud
  8. With the cost of the new chassis and then 13 days to change is this not going to work out to be a VERY expensive job? Surely would have been cheaper to scrap it and put the money to a newer one.
  9. I wasn't too impressed with the fiskars sharpener, gone back to using a sharpening stone
  10. Thanks for the comment guys As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Only had her for a few months, was quite lucky, got her for £1000, she had been standing for a year or so and needed a little bit of tlc to get her running ok, but the tyres are 100% (still had the mouldings on them when I got it) A few things left to do, need some clips for the bonnet and a lucas alternator as she doesn't charge atm. I know I could get both online easy enough but I'm sure something will turn up locally if I look for long enough (Yes I'm tight as hell sometimes) Not sure what to do about the wings, they're so far gone it may be a case of just waiting till they fall apart completely and then replacing them with something else. P.S. Had no wiring when I got her, just 2 wires to touch together to start so I took the loom off my mates scraped international and used that, will be tidied up a bit when I get the alternator sorted
  11. All done, painless survey
  12. Hi Silky

Only just noticed this message, god knows how I missed it, so sorry for the 3 month delay in replying!

Mull's a great place, very laid back, and a great place for a holiday although if you at Brodick bay you must have been on Arran not Mull.

Not a lot of tree work here and probably a bit far for the travelling arborist:thumbup:

  13. Thought it was about time to update this thread, finally got round to taking some pictures of the finished shed. went for 6" boards with a 2" air gap in the end as I'd had some mould problems last winter with the 1" gap on my shed by the house, will just have to wait and see if I've got it right on this one. Uprights are telephone poles, the rest is home milled apart from a few of the 4x2 which I already had. 3/4's full The view looking the other way, it's a really exposed site!
  14. Not sure you can call this porn but here's my Zetor. Uncertain of age but at least 40 years as they stopped making them in 1972, metal work is naff but it all works.
  15. Doh! Looked at website last night and didn't notice pages 2 & 3.! Thanks Rich
  16. Great project, any more pictures of the milling?
  17. It's easy - just man up a bit
  18. Copyright exists as soon as you take the picture and (unless you sell or transfer the copyright) the image is protected by copyright no matter whether you keep it on your computer or put it all over the internet - it's still your image and people can't use it without asking permission. Practically however image theft goes on all the time especially on the net. I once found one of my wildlife images on the BBC website, they removed it within 24 hours after I complained but there was no apology.
  19. Hungry as hell now Thanks Silky
  20. Really generous offer here, you could learn a lot by taking Pasty Muncher up on this offer
  21. I use my tracked barrow

    Not this pollacks again
  23. Thanks for replying (wouldn't have blamed you if you hadn't) I see how the wheelchair access works now, there was me thinking your landscape guys had come up with some clever 2 way gate idea that swung inwards as well.
  24. Most importantly, who's got a good right boot spare, put em together and we'll get them sold on ebay asap Thanks for posting this, a good reminder for all of us no matter what we do. Speedy recovery Bob
  25. Would be interested in seeing what this looks like in a year or 2, should mellow nicely. I'm also interested in the disabled access - just professional curiosity
