  4. I built my mog box out of glassenite which is wagon body ply/laminated plastic and it's great but really heavy and I mean really heavy!! If it was just grp then it would be quite light surly??
  5. I thought that all om352 a engines had oil squirters but no they don't! Some factory 150-160 hp motors didn't have them apparently.
  6. The tp760 has a 10"×10" opening which means I comfortably did a veg clearance last week in 2 days and didn't sned a single branch.I can't imagine tackling it with a 6" machine.
  7. I have a t2060 and it lost drive about 18 month ago and has sat where it is since. One thing i will say is parts are hard to come by. If anyone knows of a working gearbox forsale i'm interested
  8. No its just a tw150 pto setup for the back but it has a pto reverser box from the factory to make it run off standard clockwise pto. So if you take it off you can run it directly from the front of the of the mog which is anti clockwise pto.
  9. I run a tp760 on my u900 and its a bit heavy in all honesty. Done a few ram seals with it bouncing about the place. Im actually going for a front mount tw150 as they have a reverser box already on them. So you dont need to give vos £750+vat for a reverser box and you can also pull a trailer at the same time.
  10. Yes it can be done we do it with a 280 using the spools for the log deck which we dont have.
  11. As it says in need of a groundsman tomorrow and Wed after being let down. If anyone is available please call Gareth on 07702788870 Cheers
  12. I bought my first saw from Carisle auction age 12. Stihl 011av and I still have it today. Ive had more close shaves as an adult using bigger saw with too much complacency day in day out.
  13. No it's just a 4x4 Renault truck. See lots of French and Dutch ex military ones. Go for about 4.5k usually. It's never seen a mog and id rather have a bedford!
  14. Nothing wrong with aircooled deutzs at all!! Absolutally bullet and idiot proof engines. It helps if you change oil and filter once every Preston Guild!!
  15. I have a 2013 550xp running a 18" bar and EVERYONE that uses it or sees it cutting says thats an awesome little saw!! I paid £650 for mine but can't see you getting anything like that second hand. The dealer I got mine from takes trade ins. You might get more for it weighing it in against something new. Do you not need a new big saw??
  16. Hi guys im looking for a pto reverser to go on the front of my mog. The 3pt linkage mounting points are a little bent on my tp which makes putting it on and off a pain. So i'm going to cut it off and fab a bracket to bolt the chipper straight onto the chassis legs on the front of the mog. I know vos sell them but for £900 and i know they are made by bima who make pto speed up and hydraulic gearbox's that are generally around £180-£350 and a lot of them share the same casing. I get the feeling that when your dealing with anything mog you just take the RRP and X3 and thats fine. Anyway if someone has one kicking about and are willing to part with it then drop me a PM please. Many thanks
  17. Just a quick one but did the OP calibrate the auto tune by revving the stones off it and cutting bar deep for 3-5 min?? Surly if the auto tune isn't set then it will cause fuelling isuses. I have a 550xp and it is by far the best 50cc saw ive ever owned.
  18. I think it would have to be £3995+VAT. That would include a 100tonne crane, 2 climbers, 5 groundies, valmet with schliesing 550zx chipping into 37m3 fast tow bulker behind the mog. Easy
  19. My u900 with arbrisk £250 p/a
  20. Is this that stand up near edgworth by any chance??
  21. Most of the hardwood cord in Lancashire comes from wales or scotland
  22. I had a look at a couple of n series, one was 140ish HP and the other was 175+hp all that from a 4 cylinder!!! Very impresive compact machines. As for power the more you have the more you want. If you have 130hp and have a go in something with 200hp you'll want 200hp
  23. Where are you getting your prices from?? Firewood sold in rings or unseasoned is arb waste and as such is worth £20 a tonne end of!! If your selling it to the public then season and process it and draw what the market commands for it! Its not a hard concept but its everything inbetween that makes the job confusing.
  24. Cant help it but would you not be better with a tw125 or camon c250? Feed rollers a hell of a difference.
  25. Atmospheric moisture content equilibriem is 6-8% which means you cant get the wood lower than this. Or so im told.
