  1. Heyup Shaggy have you got some more pics of the trailer bud?? It looks just like what i'm after building
  2. A friend has a 6x6 defender recovery truck. He's a LR specialist so it's more of a gimick/advert than a workhorse but none the less a lot of engineering went into it. Still useless for our game though.
  3. I ment like a winget or a thwaites not one of these new toy dumpers. The older dumpers have a much wider track than the new ones.
  4. What kind of grunt does your u140 have and what is the dimensions and weight of your trailer? Looks well mate
  5. There is a u900 with quite good spec in Stranraer for £3k on ebay. Are you south west or south east scotland?
  6. David Norman gets 26t on his 6 wheeler+drag so it's around there i'd say. wagon+drag usually has an extra bunk than an artic.
  7. Don't think he had the work for it. Runs a Landy with winch, iveco 3 way tipper and a tracked jensen 530. he also has an italimec cherry picker which is handy. i'm on with him a couple of days next week.
  8. Yes he is i think or his company name would surgest.
  9. I think i subby for a guy near Blackpool that used to own Stevies mog after you. He had a 6" Ducker and a hiab on it.
  10. The southern counties style of laying is like artwork it really is. I lay Lancs and westmoreland which is far far easier and very stock and rabbit proof but don't look nowhere near as smart.
  11. Huck how many mogs have you under your belt now? Did you have a orange 1250 once?
  12. Buy a 4x4 1ton dumper and fire some landy tyres or similar on it!! Do away with the skip and weld up a frame with bolster. It will be the best low budget low impact small scale eco friendly forwarder you could ever wish for! It will pull any quad trailer uphill down dale too. Far vetter than a quad.
  13. He did well getting it there will the landy and ifor!!! Good effort lad
  14. No it didn't boss the mog about it just felt abit lacking in power but having said that i've mastered using the cascade as a splitter now so ive bridged the gap between 5th and 6th when towing. Im having a trailer built out of a vacum tanker that tips. The axles are getting moved towards the middle of the trailer. Its really low slung and on commercial axles too. Going to make it modular so I can add side panels or take away and also take bolsters. Lad up the road has a fmv with rotator and grab I thinking of mounting up front but it dosn't have much reach at all. Ok for loading timber but no good for lifting stem sections down. The mog will def be getting the pump tuned to around 125 hp though thats a given.
  15. Wont get 40 tonne on any wagon and drag!
  16. As it says guy's i have a slack week next week whilst waiting for a job to start. If anyone needs a hand in and around Lancs/Cumbria give me a bell on 07702788870 or PM me on here. Have saw+climbing tickets own tackle etc, etc. Cheers Gareth
  17. I like that!! Made me chuckle
  18. Having read all the negative comments and feedback about them over the years i've never once heard something bad about a pto model. Does that fact that they have not got an engine to worry about and don't really need anti stress do away with all the issues?? Got my eye on a 9" machine on the bay for the back of the mog.
  19. Id keep it because they always bring good money so chances are if in 12 months its never been out the workshop you'd still get the same as if you sold it today. I would never buy one personally because they are soooooooooo dear for what they are. I'd rather pay someone to drag brash to a propper chipper
  20. Been playing around with the mog trying different trailers and see what suits. The tandem axle was filled up heaped and it seemed like there was quite alot of weight on the back end but there would of only been 2-3 tonne of chip on. The other pics was the little trailer loaded with stumps and crap but about the same weight on as the chip. The little trailer towed miles better, didn't seem as heavy on the back end i thought the extra axle would have balanced it out abit. What trailers do you other u900 owners run?
  21. Thats right no VAT. Don't think it matters to most of the people that are looking at machines in this budget. I'm not Vat registered yet although it is going that way.
  22. treedweller

    what 4x4

Did the OP get a motor then?? I have a l200 in your price range
  23. It is what it is and at the end of the day it does what it say's on the tin. I filled a 8ton dump trailer with wet conifer on Wed and it didn't block once. When it's said and done i challenge anyone to show me a better machine for less than 2k lol Let them hate i say!!
  24. Chipmaster Wood Log Chipper Shredder Good Condition Honda Engine | eBay Buy this best small chipper around haha
