  1. Sounds a nightmare Gary. Had a few times where a step cut has broke and your knee jerk reaction is to reach over a running saw to try and catch it...had to stop myself and makes you think what yet subconscious is up to
  2. Pal down the road has a lumbermate. Not sure what model. Leccy start Honda powered. He has modded it to have slot of hand cranked adjustable legs and the extra long one. Have spent a few days helping with it Seems good to me but I do not have much experience with other mills other than watching.
  3. Was a thread on one recently. Have a 540t a run for its money....
  4. Did it again today, spiked up a tree and realised a good way up that leg straps not done up. Very easily done on a dragon fly as had a saddle
  5. When I sub out it's usually pick up, trailer, all saws required ms150 to 880, rigging kit, climbing kit, rescue kit and all ppe.
  6. Not 100 percent but think the 076 has a brake and the 075 doesn't. Is it an 020av or an 020 like a ms200?
  7. That's a good one I'll try that
  8. That would never happen
  9. I've nearly started the back cut too. Stopped cutting gobs with mainline in above now....
  10. Aye meybs, not familiar with machine at all, if the wires are ok then I'm of it of ideas. Good luck!
  11. Suspect it was a bit of a 3.30 am post......fine to talk about it but meybs not on someone's job ad.
  12. Yes that's why I was doubting my ident as it seems to be growing in the bark/moss of a seemingly health syc. Good leaf cover, no shabby bits of bark etc or obvious cavities etc.....
  13. Good luck! I've been freelance for about 8 yrs now but reading that makes me wish I lived closer, id be tempted.
  14. No sir!
  15. Boggles the mind doesn't it.....had to buy a new coil for £90 quid or something. In fairness if I sold someone a saw, they said it didn't work I'd be hesitant about having it returned after they'd pulled it to bits diy style. What was harsh was there was a trail of eBay messages with his instructions of what he wanted me to check etc.......water under the bridge though. Hope you get sorted with the 026 either way pal!
  16. If you fiddle with it the seller will almost certainly not refund you. I been stung like that a while back when the seller asked me to check spark then refused to have it back as he said I'd taken it to bits
  17. Does it then run fine for a while after the vacuum in tank has been released? If yes then check that tank vent again! It should not be creating a vacuum.
  18. You can check the spark by pulling the plug and reconnecting it to the wire then placing it near the cylinder and pulling saw over ( switch on) you should see it sparking. Also check the compression when hot, is it really easy to pull over? Hold it up by starter cord and see how quick it drops to the ground, shouldn't just fall straight down. Was it an ebay/paypal purchase?
  19. The stump puffball is nought to worry about? Tree appears in good health
  20. Thanks pal, thought it might be dodge. Hard to resist a good deal also!
  21. Thanks for the offer. Sounds like a scam though!
  22. What echo dealer do you find best? Can't help feeling if echo could sort parts delivery timing out they'd be blowing competition out the water....i have a 360tes and a 2700es and 2600es for carving and they are great bit the 6 week waiting time on parts has meant i can't fully switch to them
  23. Yeah poor old brad, wonder how he is getting on these days?
  24. Thanks, didn't think the tops where particularly scaly so didn't really think of pholiota, but guess this becomes less apparent later on?
  25. I haven't commited some appauling faux pas have I?
