  2. Yep has turned into a rebuild. Think he was hoping for a simple fix.....aye well have a chat about filter cleaning.....the rest if the saw isn't that dirty in fairness...do they do a hd filter for 550 of any decent mods? There is no sign of any hole or split in the filter at all but inside was dirty with very fine dust. Look forward to hearing of the 110 rebuild
  3. I keep thinking of buying a splitting axe or maul. I have an old 8lb maul with a hickory handle my dad gave me. Had it for a decade and split 10 to 15t a year with it. It won't die....will I really notice an improvement with this or a x27?
  4. Ace. Don't make em how the used to etc
  5. Thanks
  6. Would that still mean taking the block off every time you adjust?
  7. Thanks will give it a shot. Any particularly good technique?
  8. David Humphries please help! Thanks lots!
  9. If say so...doubt they were listed when they were built. If say our system is very much less than perfect but the concept that even if you own the land you should be able to do anything you want with it regardless of what the community wants doesn't sit right with me. I reckon there should be some process and control when people want to alter the landscape/surroundings I.e open cast mining, clear felling woodland, building a new hotel etc etc.
  10. Listing removed
  11. Yep was just interested as why you choose the back handle 201 over the 201t.....been a bit chat about kickback etc lately and wondered if it was a safety thing or comfort or what.
  12. Don't seem to get meteor cylinders for 038 but the own stihl one is only 130quid https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/cylinder-with-piston-52-mm-stihl-part-no-1119-020-1202.html

  20. I know I just can't bare spending money there! Will if Steven has something. Generally though is there a husky equivalent of l and s?
  21. The lad runs it on huskies finest.
  22. Meybs just my jazzy snaps. Defs a 550 like
  23. Had a good few years carving full time with them....dont get me wrong I think they are great little saws for the money. Just hard thinking of going back to one once you have tasted the sweet sweet amber of a good 200! My local builders merchants was doing a special on them earlier this year were about 130 140 or something. Sounds like your better sticking with 170s than 181s
  24. No scoring but piston ring is well worn. Whats peoples favourite husky parts place?
