  1. On closer inspection just Ice. But forming in a mental way. Anyone seen this or know why it happens?
  2. Lol "Do a Bartletts "
  3. Lol
  4. I've had a non oem side cover with brake band etc In on my 357 for about 6 yrs. No bother with it at all so far....
  5. Yep def not ok threatening people or families over this. Out of order. However I also do not buy the "they told me to do it" attitude. Ultimately we are all responsible for our actions. If you want to go and cut a load of trees people are up in arms about that's fine with me, but don't expect then to thank you for it.
  6. Plus with a back handle saw you can reach further when you one hand it
  7. Thanks for the update, keep posting them!
  8. What pressure you running Steve? With a load in or not?
  9. If you know 100 percent the 200 is in great shape of lean that way. But otherwise the 360tes is great. I have both and like both, the echo comes out to play more often, but I still really really like the 200! You'd be doing well to get a really good 200 for 300quid. Quite likely to be fairly well used I'd say. Do you have a ground saw? Since getting a 150 it comes out the most! I'd be quite happy I think with a light 50cc and a 150.
  10. Great stuff! Pleased it's up and running
  11. That an echo 360tes opposed to an ms360? If so what did the exhaust want doing to it?
  12. Had a little hit on this today....new piston arrived, fitted that. Honed cylinder (took ages). And reassembled handle tank to crank. Also did flywheel and ignition module (s?)..... What is this grommet the pencil is pointing at? Normally I'd say tank breather but it isn't. Parts I need are; Base gasket Av mount Exhaust gasket Carb boot gasket Walbro hda 98 carb kit Chain catcher Managed to reuse a 357xp fuel line which still had some life left in it
  13. Shouldn't really have one as a team leader though eh?
  14. Also hold it by just the starter cord. Should slowly unwind as saw falls or not at all, if this happens quickly then def low comp
  15. Check underside for scratches and how rusty exhaust is as this indicates age/use. Things that may need replacing are av mounts , clutch drium/sprocket etc. Check bolts are all present as missing ones can indicate knackered threads. Make sure it will idle for a good while then not cut out when you rev it again. Check revs do not drastically alter when angle of saw is changed. Make sure brake is working. No way I would buy a used 290 for 300 quid though. Plenty decent saws about for under 200 or pro ones for 300.... where abouts are you based? Good luck!
  16. Dan, hope this runs and works well for you. Personally can't help feel your better off buying a scrap own saw and stripping it and rebuilding then ending up with something which will definately last years. Very keen to see how this lasts though.
  17. Looks good! Any vids of it cutting?
  18. My cousin's husband was telling me to buy loads of bit coins back when they were starting. Think he has completely paid off his mortgage etc now......wish I had listened!
  19. Once you have yet saw ticket why no ask for a few weeks work experience chipping for someone? Would be a good taster
  20. The are a few ok dealers on eBay. Potentially harry the cat ( has he been on here?) But generally agree with spud. I have a ms200 backhandle for sale and a ea5000 Makita ( on its first bar) if either will float yet boat
  21. I'll try and keep the thread updated. Thanks again james
  22. Probably be running by tonight?
  23. Lol "deny everything"
