  5. Im miles away, good luck!
  6. good vid. Just got me winch for mine. Not used it yet, looks handy in that vid. Any reason you didn't use your doubled ended bar? Ta
  7. Looking good! That wee plate that sits between the bar and the body of the saw is missing. Doubt it will matter but may direct oil into bar better of something?
  8. Holy smokes that sounds sore. Hope you get back to full carving power soon as possible!
  9. If you have left veg oil in there unused for a while it could well have set hard.....have you taken the pump off and soaked on petrol or brake cleaner?
  10. I just got a fuel pipe, woodruff key and chain catcher for a fraction of online price from my local ( not husky dealer) chainsaw man, hexham machinery..... Maybe someone will know but it thought skyland said they stocked loads of bits not on their website so worth a call?
  11. What is it? a nice shapes bit of wood or has a function.
  12. I am yet to find a husky l and s equivalent. Ransom spares are ok for husky, they took a while and think they supply stuff but don't stock it. They have a lot a parts diagrams which is helpful.
  13. One side hasn't slipped down? Easily done when fitting. Go steady on those exhaust bolts mind. Easy to strip them

  15. Phew.....sounds like I haven't just cut up a small fortune! Thanks for the Info.....so best to just chip a bit bark off up and down the stem and look for wavey bits? Anyone got pics of what to look for on a stem?

  18. Yep pretty sure syc, dismantled it today. Coined it up and split it at home to notice this. Reminded me of my old boss telling me to always check beneath the bark before disking up as it's worth a good bit. Whenever I checked with him it never turned out to be rippled so never really saw what to look for. Was hoping someone would know.....so this is just lightly rippled?
  19. Please someone tell me it isn't?
  20. Sounds great! Just got a 242xp my self also. Just waiting for a new fuel pipe and some bits and it'll be good to go. ( thought i was sorted then found the fuel line I pinched off an old 357 was split).
  21. Not heard a squeak out of him or her in a while. Look forward to hearing what you have to say soon Andrew
  22. In my limited experience catapults make getting a good anchor easier, but the temptation is to go for an amazing anchor because you have a catapult so can end up in the same position or belting your throw bag through several trees. Mattyf sorted me out with a APTA which on the few jobs I have used it for has been excellent.
  23. Surely 2.3m when doubled?
  24. Worth checking l and s engineers as they had some well cheap bigger bars a while ago
