  5. i went to buy a rayburn from someone how had similar problems, when i looked the flue damp was rusted shut! i think they are still using it!

  8. i get this occaisonally when the wind is blowing in certain directions, and have discovered that opening the front door of the house for 5 mins when lighting eliminates the downdraft until flue is warm. also worth checking the factory spec of the flue diameter reccomendation as a 6 inch ilsulated flue section is infact 5 inch inside diameter etc etc

  14. thanks - i bought a length of ocean polyester and done x2 fishermans thinking i may want to adjust. ah now i'll just have to wait for that job with no time constraints!
  15. i was on a cambium saver! using i think about an 85cm (eye to eye) ocean polyester 10mm on a 13mm yale, i'll def keep messing on with it but found its hard to justify pissing about with stuff on a job! will try the knut- thanks
  16. i'll have to try and have a shot on some geckos, feels pretty annoying to have to buy some new spikes just for that reason!

  22. tried 3 different spikes with them, 2 kleins and stein x2's my feet are in agony in them! any tips? is it just these wierd shaped boots? never had this bothe with hiax or treeme.
  23. used a hitch climber with a vt for the first time today - didn;t seem any easier to a prussik? what am i missing? vt was annoying me as i kept having to give it a little tweak to get it to grip everytime i tended slack. any tips?
  24. have a rayburn 355, tonnes of hot water for for 4 rads+ and baths, cooking and room heating, nealry a barrow of logs a day in the winter though. for the second hand price you can;t beat them.
