  4. i usually tighten up clutches by hand then the saw tightens them when running no? i think that is why the are anti-normal threads on them so they don't unspin when you using. maybs snap the chain brake on when its running - might tighten it up also air ratchet works ok as long as your nor totally numb with it
  5. just got me a dmm hitch climber and ocean polyester. can i just confirm i used a VT and instead of spliced eyes i have tied two single fishermans for where it fits onto the oval krab - this is ok? how much tail is exceptable and shoudl i tape them? - just not sure as have never used it and the only advice i can find just says use a prespliced cord. also anyone know any splicers around Northumberland?
  6. hi rob, could you explain why you might want 3/8 lp chain on a larger saw please? thanks
  7. thanks will try in morning
  8. fine, i expect all these immigrants are going to devalue our arbtalk way of life - they probably don;t even know about the differences between stihl and husky.
  9. we're chilling in the lounge here baby!
  10. i agree, you should maybs you could go and single handedly fight all the IS heading for our beloved homeland while your at it
  11. imagine the sort of tedious arguments we would have to have on this forum if we did that though
  12. i suspect you would have run away from an army who would rape and kill your family, particulaly if you had no army on your side and had no means to defend yourself. comparing an civil war in Syria to world war 2 europe is a strange, and in my view not particularly helpful analogy.
  13. i find it incredible that countries which have less resources are able to share more than we can here " 3.8 million refugees from Syria (95 per cent) are in just five countries Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt:" this was back in 2014! we are suggested we take 20,000 over 5 years. do you really think that suddenly our country will be totally over run with syrians just desperate to come and sign on? personally i can't imagine how desperate i would have to be to make the journey from a war torn country like syria/iraq/afghanistan, rather than doing it for a free ride in the uk.
  14. swapped the flywheel and carb now, no difference. i guess the only other thing to try swapping is the coil incase its not working in the cylinder for some reason?
  15. ah so good when you finally get there eh? well done!
  16. agreed, its dead hard to type that with a fiat 500.
  17. listed in arbtrader, but just thought i'd mention it here. having a clear out, please help me get rid or some saws have 2 x ms 170 (30cc) available with 1/4 sprockets and a 010av (37cc) also with 1/4. can sell with 3/8 sprocks also. might suit someone starting out carving or anyone wanting a back up.
  18. it may also get more complicated if you have landy or something which laden could way 3500kg, that it might only be weighing 2500kg at the time of use, but that wouldn't mean you could pull a 1000kg trailer even though the landy is rated to as this would put your GTW at 4500kg?
  19. Chainsawbars ? chainsaw chains, chainsaw bars and chainsaw accessories
  20. when i last spoke to tree kit they only had antal (which i know make x rings) have they got beasts in again now or is it the large antal? sorry for my incessant questioning!
