  1. How'd you like them? Few years ago you didn't seem keen, but flyer more time any different? I got a dcs3400 or 3410 which goes well for carving, but the top handle ones I hand only ever came out for climbing when my ms200 wasnt playing ball. Certainly ok, but not much zing. 2. Yeah that's what I thought, saw runs fine, choke works, half throttle works, meybs some av thing? Just thought someone might know zactly what it is... Sent from my C6903 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Lol. Surely 20 years ago there were still soft handed workshys about who more piles of brash one at a time? Sent from my C6903 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Hope thats better
  5. Yeah, looks a bit hands free in that photo right? Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Bought an eBay Ms201, turned up today, all well but it has this bit, any one know what it is or does or what to fix? Haven't had a chance to take to bits yet
  7. Made a sledge today for some folk making a channel 4 documentary about the forbidden city in China, apparently the managed to shift a 300tonne bit of stone by sliding it on ice. They are doing a scaled down experiment and needed a sledge to carry a tonne around an ice rink in Sheffield. Made for a nice day. On pallet ready for shipping
  8. I managed to get about half way through a brick that was in the middle of s sycamore once Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. Sure you could just post him a saw for him to lend for a bit? Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Cs 30/31? Maybe a Lantra one? Bet all the estate workers don't have tickets though Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Aye probs worth the extra 50 quid to get the pro one, if yer going to bother. Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Max rpm is 12.5k so wind the h out anticlockwise. I usually set it 500 -1000rpm below max. Don't hold the throttle open for too long, just raz it up see where it is and let it go down. YouTube is your friend, it certainly helped me. 14. Dealer near me says the 555 and 545 huskies are same as pro models build wise but just detuned? Sounds whack to me. I buy and use lots of second hand Saws for arb work and carving, infact I have only had 3 new saws. Mostly if chosen carefully the second hand ones have been excellent, with the odd wind up. I do however enjoying fixing them, and have 2 of most saws so if one is down the other can still play. Honestly not sure I trust my newer saws not to break any more than the ones I've had and known and fixed over the years. Probably not saved huge amounts of money by the time I have found, gone and bought then fixed second hand saws. But I don't run a business where teams are off to work with my kit all day, usually just me and a couple groundies are most. Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. I Have done a few hours with one of these. They are ok, but really not amazing. I have also used the 3400 which is next size up which is better. But the echo 360tes is a good deal better saw and probably similar price. I would look at that. How cheap can you get the makita? Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. Atleast you have one for parts for next time Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. Wonder what the echo 360wes is like, if it's just the back handle version of the TES then it should be sweet. Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. someone get it bought! i would if i didnt have one. thats a fair (very) price. is that a 30 or 36'' bar?
  19. yep only reason to do it is for fun. 150/200 quid plus a days labour (potentially irritating day at that) and your looking at what you could buy a decent working second hand saw/new bottom end saw.
  20. Where abouts is that matty? I been carving a bench today Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Really? I used a 660 until I got a 076 and 084 never thought of using it since. You really found 660 faster on smaller bits? Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. For my money I wouldnt want to pay much more than 100 quid for a 40cc saw I hadnt seen with my own eyes(unless from a trustworthy source), bought alot that way and often they will need some work. Worth allowing an extra 50quid for filters, sprockets, carb bits, etc. Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. For the price the 076. Though I switched from 076 to 084 (with brand new pistol and cylinder) and it washed noticably faster. What's your budget? Not tried 3120 for milling yet Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Yes great result! I guess some do have a conscience and some don't, just like everyone else. Tars and brushes and all that Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Great news, so pleased you got him back! Sent from my C6603 using Arbtalk mobile app
