  1. How much work can there even be on the ground if the climber hasn't had his saw sent up yet?
  2. Just reread that. Cracking thread
  3. Well we've had his reply. Reckon you can beat "it would take a long time using kit I don't have and can't afford. I'd start by fucking everything under the tree and then visit the client"?
  4. I'd personally be very interested to hear from start to finish how Vesper-Sean would go about this 2 man day dismantle. Let's start from the beginning. What equipment are you turning up with?
  5. Never climbed anything taller than his stories though.
  6. I rate these too, I've got a couple that are a few years old and still decent.
  7. Looks fantastic. Still takes fifteen minutes to sharpen a 20" bar though! I'd be dead keen to try one
  8. Can't help but feel sorry for the poor bastard really.
  9. Mine's probably not taken as much weight as yours.
  10. Mine creeps like a good'un but I've been running it on velocity (11.3) for about two years. I'll replace both soon
  11. The amount of tree surgeons who quote block paving is impressive ?
  12. Apologies, my use of the past tense was obviously presumptuous. I often overlook the possibility of double standards.
  13. I seem to remember he was once so fiercely protective about comments like that! ?
  14. I know right, but since Brexit it's hard to find decent pilots. Well she's better looking than me if that's much use? Cheers bud, I'll take a look
  15. Hoping somebody has a suggestion for the above. My sister has a first floor flat in Lewisham with a shared garden with sod all access. I've got a sycamore to take down for her, but as usual getting rid it is the issue. I'm wondering if there's a half capable chipper that can be carried up and down narrow stairs by two blokes that might do the job. If not it's through the house (not really an option) or a bloody big bonfire in a really small garden.
  16. His best chance at recovering any money from the stems is to pay to get it milled and sell the slabs himself.
  17. I've seen plenty use them. Never quite understood as an entry level 181 will do as good a job for a fraction. You're not going to be logging with it are you?
  18. This is why I love arbtalk.
  19. "Like a punched lasagna " is originally more appropriate
  20. I genuinely can't understand where Harvey got his intellect from
