  1. Bugger. That'll teach me for talking with the big boys!
  2. How do you remove a circlip without a hammer?
  3. That's why I made sure my comment was deliberately ambiguous. Best not to get into a rant. It's of no consequence now anyway
  4. Our 361 has a spur sprocket, so that one won't be. The later ones had 3/8 rim sprockets, so as long as you 66 is the same guage it should be fine. Easier to change them on Stihl than Husqy, which involves a hammer and swearing.
  5. I did, I was terribly sorry to hear it. Lovely bloke and a top notch employer... Hope you do well mate, I've never understood the animosity between businesses in the same trade
  6. Sounds like we've got competition!
  7. Haha cheers, lads!
  8. Less likely to fail if it's on thicker timber. I'd be wary of using a single triple action crab for your anchor too.
  9. Nice work Tim, good "outside the box" thinking. Could you post a pic of the breakaway lanyard?
  10. Check and see if it says "made in West Germany" on it. Ma colleague has one. Bulletproof. He runs it on 50.1
  11. Wow, that's smooth. I've been trying to get one with heated handles. The cod piece, that is.
  12. There you go, the boss does it. Now everyone can shut up about it!
  13. Now now, Huck. Calm down... No use getting angry! *grabs more fuel for the fire*
  14. We use a 460 at work on 25", and I have a 441 on 20". The 460 is more powerful, but the 441 has significantly lower vibes. Can't comment on the 461, or the Husqy equivalents.
  15. Why could you only get to 20m?

I've never understood why people thought the Scots were tight...
  17. Hence why I can live on a wage that seems comparatively low. I live in one of the cheaper parts of England. Don't tell my landlady how much you're paying, she may get ideas! Easily done when you have spell check and time to think about your replies!
  18. Currently I can only afford cutters choice. My meth lab will have to wait for a few pay rises...
  19. Lizzie work as an events coordinator for a small firm, and is on about £500pa more than I. We rent a 2 bedroom semi for £600 + bills. I live relatively modestly, and sometimes it's a struggle, but I get by just fine.
  20. Fair play, I didn't go to college! I should have said the Genus is Populus, or is that still incorrect? I'll stick to cutting stuff I think. My mistake, I meant no offence, to trees or people. I was gay once.
  21. Interesting post. I'm a climber with around 3 years experience. I consider myself certainly competent, probably experienced. I'm on a wage not too dissimilar to that mentioned for a trainee climber. I rent a house with my girlfriend, manage to feed an ever growing cat, share a car, and I'm never too broke to afford a bottle of red. Would I like a bit more? Certainly. But I can get by on what I earn. I wouldn't consider myself poor by any means. I can afford to smoke 50g a week for Chrissake. I'm based in the midlands by the way.
  22. What!? Don't start talking all gay with me, Curtis!
  23. Same here, though I do find when I put them down I have to pull the straps tight. They don't scratch, don't get lost, and don't mist up like specs. The only problem is rain. If you don't have wood shavings in your beard, then people won't know you're a big bad tree cutter!
