  1. Call up Nod at treeworker. It's not always on his website but he had it in stock when I called him.
  2. Cheers Tom, I did see it, and considered that, but I have heard a few too many things about the 261, and think I would prefer the Husqy. Once the warranty is out and if it's doable the 550xpg will be too. That's what I've decided on.
  3. Very nice Rich. I enjoy the smash em down vids too, but after I've seen so many a change is great! The bone looks like it works great with the HAAS.
  4. 18"!?!? No thank you, I don't even run that on my 357, and even that's been fiddled with! 13" all the way. I picked one up in the shop today with a 15" bar on. Seemed nose heavy and cumbersome.
  5. Until one day you need to come down in a hurry. This could be because you heard an ice cream van drive past or you have a bad accident. Could you re anchor with an arterial bleed? In fairness a stopper knot isn't the solution here. The solution is to climb on a rope which needs neither a stopper knot or re anchoring.
  6. I don't find them any great inconvenience. Rarely gets caught. I'd rather have it there than drop off my line. But each to their own. I guess if you're climbing a big tree and see unsure if your rope will get you don't you could always tie one on.
  7. Not a fan?
  8. That said, it's been great fun (apart from being whacked on the head by a hangar) and I'd love to do more of it! Good luck
  9. I've recently started my first hardwood thinning (only 60 trees) in 3 years, and CHRIST I'm shagged! I'm happier in the saddle where I can act the hero while doing barely sod all
  10. God help her!
  11. Back door birches? I have a similar sounding DVD under the bed.
  12. I figured. If your going to take your groundy's word on the matter, get him to stand directly underneath you when you come down. He might rethink his answer then!
  13. I wonder how many of our other halves really know how we feel!
  14. Huh? Sure you meant me bud? I'm rubbish at peeing contests anyway. I don't mean to point out the bleeding obvious, but stopper knots to tend to eliminate the risk of falling off your rope...
  15. If I called my Mrs that she wouldn't be paying! Lizzie just counts herself lucky that a Valentines day is one of two days that I don't pee in the shower.
  16. Ah, you see, when the gaffer sets an example like that he can hardly complain when his staff follow suit! Glad you had a good day, sounds like you enjoyed yourselves!
  17. I've done this more than once, the bugger is it's always at the top, when I have slack in my system, and I end up having to cut my spliced eye off. The bright side is I get a new side strop. This thread could correspond to a current health and safety thread on here...
  18. Get off yer phones and do some bloody work! Sent from the transit, with a mouthful of burger.
  19. I haven't given mine a proper chance yet but for big saw work or SRT they're good. Could do with some padding on the shoulders though.
  20. I'd imagine lighter, cheaper and easier to set up.
  21. What saws and bar sizes are you running in the vid?
  22. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark at "Large X Rigging Ring"
  23. That's the one!
  24. I think I know what he's after. A small rod that clamps onto the end of the guide bar to allow accurate boring once a pilot hole has been drilled. I think it was Delabodge who posted the video. I'd be curios to know if it was custom made or bought.
