  1. What's the initial for when you spike up a tree with a length of three strand coiled over your shoulder to top it?
  2. TM elastic, through TM gear tubing, through Marlow Boa cover with the core removed. Glad I finally found a use for that horrible cord.
  3. Couple of the more successful ones of today.
  4. Because if you're any good you won't be spending much time between cuts...
  5. On an 18mm rigging line I would think 8mm would be too thin though. Why on earth a person would want to use 18mm line for zipping is beyond me though!
  6. If you insist on buying new cord, that would work fine. A klemheist would be a good knot. Seems a waste not to put all those old hitch cords that are retired but can't bring myself to throw away to good use though!
  7. Hi Felix. I use discarded hitch cord from climbing for tensioning zip lines. Usually around 70cm eye to eye cords, just put as many wraps as you can on. Can get a photo if it would help?
  8. Went Redwood climbing with Tommy B today. Is that a cat in the neighbouring Fir? Also popped into Spuds workshop. The ported 357 got a quick tweak and the 660 is getting the full steroid package. Nice to put a face to a name after all this time!
  9. Unless you're cutting manageable lumps, so no need to descend. Then the only benefit is the quick bail out. Let's face it, on a small birch, not anissue.
  10. I'm guessing you're used to the feeling by now.
  11. Because I don't like being on debt. And money sat in my account has a habit of getting spent. Our viewpoints are likely uncomparable with me being PAYE and you being a business owner though.
  12. Give them a price to leave chip and logs in the garden, and a much higher price to remove all waste. At least if they want it all gone you'll have enough on it to get a couple more pairs of boots on the deck and a bit extra for yourself.
  13. I do. I won't borrow money if they're gonna charge me for paying it ack early. I'll still pay back the full amount plus their interest, but early repayment charges are bullshit!
  14. ALWAYS get early repayments FOC!
  15. I spotted the soft fid whilst I was Facebook stalking Tommy. Definitely worth a punt over my homemade fids that perforate my hands. You pulled the strands from the mark moving towards the end? Sounds like hard work! Gotta get back into it soon. My first step would have to be organising myself a work space. Kneeling in front of the coffee table gets painful after a while. (There you go Mark, nice easy one for you).
  16. I usually go to your mums for that type of fun.
  17. What do you use to mark the cover on the Sirius Jake? I need a proper workbench. I keep getting my ear chewed off for leaving frays of rope and bits of welding wire on the carpet.
  18. I love the werewolves. Use them in the warm weather for pretty much everything. Climbing, ground work (when I can't get out of it), walking to the pub... Proper comfy boot. You're very aware of where your toes are too.
  19. I'd love to see a short clip mount like on the T540xp. It's my favourite thing about that saw, if Echo could sort that it'd be perfect. Oh, and supply it with a 0.043 b&c, in 8" and 10" lengths. And the o-ring on the fuel cap comes off occasionally. It's help captive by the bit of string that keeps the cap attached to the saw though.
  20. Yep, fair play to them. I wonder if the new model will have a cat muffler? Should I have had an email Rob?
  21. Send one to Reg, maybe he'll do a video for you.
  22. No the Echo was for myself. Did they work?
  23. You have very smooth hands. Do you moisturise?
  24. Hypothetically, Rob, what would happen if one were to continue using the 2510 (accepting the risk of spontaneous incineration) until the 2511 were released? While we're on hypotheticals, if a person had bought one of these Echos, and removed/lost the spark screen/retaining screw, and trimmed the exhaust cover, would Echo still be happy to take that saw back?
