  6. Had my arbortec lightning boots since college when they only got weekend use, They have had about 6 months of fulltime use on them and they are battered, thats climbing and groundwork. Now i need a new pair as the sole has split awat from the side of the boots, loads of stiching has gone so i get wet feet in damp grass . But they are super comfortable and have worn them for over 16 hours some days and are fine Been looking at the Airstream, stein phantom and scafell, as they seem popular and look comfy, anyone got preference or have had a problem with any of them, Need to get this next pair of boots right, well not rich enough to buy boots every 6 months Arran

  13. Sounds awesome, just need to push hard and learn as much as possible tree wise in the next 5 years, Hopefully I can learn about visas and sponsorships now rather than getting to a stage where I am ready to go over and not have a clue Strange question, is everyone far more easy going than people in england, because when I go out there i will know no one
  14. Awesome looking truck, really smart but not too bling,
  15. Sounds good to me and I had something in one eye for two days last week, not cool. Im trying to work out if they will fit my helmet though I have a 2003 Vertex Vent ( Bought in 2011) from stantons but I have a feeling they will only fit newer models and the petzl website confuses my brain!! Arran
  16. Been looking at the petzl vizir (face shield), I wear my oakleys alot and often find myself with my mesh visor up and just glasses on which is okay but they still fall off my fat head at times/steam up and now are scratched to hell, my main concern with the Vizir is what is it going to be like when scrambling through dense conifers and stuff like that, will it scratch up easy and then become useless, just wondering what other peoples opinions are even if they have the stein equivelent I know that i will have to take more care putting my helmet in my kitbag and will use a cloth helmetbag that you use on motocycle helmets. VIZIR | Petzl I think they look cool too Arran
  17. Im looking to go out to Oz or Nz in the next few years, you folks look to the people to talk to and to soak up as much knowledge from, im going to be a sponge what is the work like out there e.g. type of tree work you generally get through in a week, whats the general outline to a sponsorship and how long and how thorough is the proces More questiions will come to me (Sorry in advance:)) arran
  18. Similar principles but different circumstances, had a customer who called up to say she had a tree she wanted removing and was specific that i would need my chainsaw, i already had been there before and new there was nothing tree like in the garden at all from memory. Got there went in the back garden and the tree she wanted removing was about 1.5" across and 3ft tall. pulled it clean out the ground by hand and was done before she came out with my tea which came with a kitkat chunky!!! She was happy I was happy and payment was one dam good cup of tea and kitkat chunky
