  1. I understand there are loads of combinations just wondering what people like/ or dislike on 13mm hopefully saving me buying something thats not quite right for me ive been through loads of knots on my marlow boa started on a VT then shortend it for less sitback then went over to sooper cooper which was fast and very good at self tending but struggled with quite a bit of sitback which i tryed to adjust but couldnt get it right, so know im on a knut and love it, its like a self tending prussic in my eyes.
  2. Have been using marlow gecko 13mm with marlow boa friction cord and works fine, but lately have been using hi-vee and marlow boa and is well sexy. But again would like everything to be smoother/ more responsive. there are so many friction cords and would like to get it right first time around:thumbup: Anyone got preferances or advice? Arran
  3. My post was out of sorts for me, thanks for pulling me up good skills
  4. re-read what i wrote, i would like to change it. Your 2 1/2 hours away from me, i would of loved to go out sometime for a swing about, have a laugh, and eat lunch up a tree and chill (and good strong limb walks) Make a proper day of it. Arran Im always up for climbing I regret writing that post must be sleepy

  6. Your 2 1/2 hours away from me, otherwise i would of loved to go out sometime for a swing about, have a laugh, and eat lunch up a tree and chill (and good strong limb walks ) Arran
  7. Can you ascend just on the petzl rig with say a foot pantin or footlocking ? good video relentless climber real interesting set up
  8. Ditto, this gave me the bug to want to travel off the back of tree work few more years experience then im gone :001_smile: Arran
  9. Anyone used a pinto pulley instead of a hitch climber, would look nice and tidy to me but would like to be sure it works before i spend my pennies Arran
  10. at least she wore gloves
  11. used it today is the nuts
  12. Buy another prussic and use both ends of your climbing line for larger limb walks and ascending, and get a short strop for playing around in the tree as its small and out of your way. getting out to the tips on a big limb can be hard work on a single line/ short strop but getting back in can be way harder
  13. Another hitchclimber quesition whats the best knot for the least amount of sitback, i understand length of cord makes a difference, just really want to minimalise
  14. Thank you sirr
  15. Bought one yesterday as it is supposed to prevent or slow down the process of getting carpel tunnel syndrome, Not that i know a great deal about cts but im all for preventing things that could slow me down in the future. Been playing with it a bit and it involves a real knack but god dam my wrists burn like hell whilst doing it and after, went for a little rec climb today and my arms felt more tired than normal im guessing due to the powerball(making my wrists stronger hopefully). Anyone else had one or use one regulary? Only problem i find is the noise it makes is disliked by most people in my house Arran
  16. Bit random but, What is the brand of jacket you are wearing in the video/ avatar picture, seen them in loads of big fell videos and really fancy one, Arran
  17. Get some pictures up if you do it, and or the stages if you remember dude:
  18. been using it for about 5 months and love it, been using it with a 360 sugoi and works well. find it works well in all situations even in very tight conifers. havent had it fall out many times and is always comfy, glad i bought one. Stops your scabbard twisting and moving like when it is on your harness. and it looks cool arran
  19. rocking video, need to get myself around the world Arran
  20. I'll have a go this evening, Ill man up and just pull myself in see how it goes Progress is needed! Arran
  21. Is clipping a hand ascender to your line before you limb walk and running your line through a krab the only way to get back in whilst having your full weight on your climbing line ? Would lik to make more srt progress but limb walking is slowing me down Arran:thumbup:
  22. yes please dude, whats its going to cost me
  23. Yes please dude need one!!!
  24. How comes dude?
  25. What is dynamic rope? Just thought it would be neat for rec climbing. Could be useful at work. Will have a play and report back . Can you use a cinch instead of a prussic on a secondary line ? Or can someone explain where you can and can't use a cinch Arran
