My public liability has run out and I've been quoted for a whole year again but they will not do a policy for half a year which is a bummer Does anyone know any companies that will do 6 months This being for 5 mill tree work Thanks alot Arran

I'm on op at the moment which started blackening up loads and going shiney and looking naff but then I put it in the washing machine on a cold short wash with no powder or anything and it came up almost band New. I will be buying armorpruS soon from the good reviews Routing the climbing line so that it is not touching any branches on the way through is key aswell, silky Fox drilled this into me on a rec climb once and since then I've made it super important to route my ropes well and it helps so much:) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Thanks chief much appreciated , nice to see a homemade and a bought one next to each other, I have bought a spliced pulley saver + shackle from Joe Loggs which he made himself and I already own the pinto and cord. it should be arriving tomorrow which im looking forward to. From the pictures he has done a cracking job. My climbing kit lives in my bedroom

Yes and my hands, I try not to be too silly as cord would end up only lasting me a week i feel the main advantage is ascent, being able to zip out of trees is a bonus. I got my groundy to tend the line as I ascended to my top anchor so i could climb hand over hand and did the whole lot without my feet touching anything just using my arms. wonderful it was I think the pinto rig is smoother but then my pulley had been worked hard so propley full of grime.

it just makes the position of the pulley adjustable which is handy for myself. No real effort just a running bowline. Making it wasnt a effort just bits of rope and cord that i had sitting about

Nothing weird there my friend the pinto pulley is truly astonishing as an anchor didnt, just shot back up and got it got to get fit somehow I think i will be more inclined to go up and retrieve it when ive got a proper spliced pulley saver as they sound like a pain to retrieve from the ground

New set up this works lovelyyy, adjustable length of where the pulley is is brilliant, was doing a euc reduction, which had alot of height come out of it, removed all the height expect from the stem which my anchor was on, had the pinto on a fairly long tail of rope which allowed the pulley to follow me around the tree thus being frictionless. made me want to touch myself it was so smooth...!

good find, be nice to keep everything save for everyone, ZigZag MK2 SRT Compatible?!?! they would rake it in and be clever if they did so FOR all non facebook users: Treetools New Zealand A potential problem exists when the ZigZag is used single line with the Rope Wrench. Due to the orientation of the ZigZag single line the carrier for the stainless friction links loads at the outer edge of tolerance between the aluminum pulley sheave and the side plates - stainless versus ali - not good! Treetools demo model is showing signs of wear after very little use in this configuration.

I've always climbed on 13mm line and really Like it easy to grip a big weighty so easy to footlock and works well on prussic as standard and also using a hitch climber, I climbed on a knut which would self tend after about 3m and that was using Marlow gecko climbing line and Marlow boa cord ( as cheap as it all gets) Try before you buy when it comes to thinner rope get on a rec climb and have a go on much as possible, I did and couldn't get in with any I tried just felt too small even though it was a matter of mm lol. Will go with amour prus next as its the most recommended Just a random question, hoping someone might know the answer, would it work having a dmm thimble on a prussik loop and using the thimble to go through the crab instead of a girth hitch. You folks got any suggestions or preferences interested in people's opinions before I buy anything. Used Marlow boa, op, Marlow viper and they are getting a bit black and shiney. I don't really bomb out of trees and use a variation of hitches Arran Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
