  2. A few pictures i took out the top of some trees at work. I know there are some pictures from the top of some very large trees on arbtalk lurking and some noce views 1) ongar 2) grays 3)watford 4) watford 5) basildon
  3. Do what I did dude, bit of climbing line make a prussik loop and put a pinto rig pulley with a spacer on and just use a running bowline to chocker, works so well and you'll save so much energy and be faster at the job that going up to your anchor won't matter. No need for a mallion on this set up. If you want to use a fixed cheek pulley like isc or petzl you will have to use a mallion.
  4. Sunday's pear reduction, customer bringing tea over at the end, good day.
  5. Product looks wicked, and like it will throw lovely, throw lining is becoming an expensive old sport. Just scoping it out you can fit 13mm line through the steel eye? I've taken a few throwbags to the back and shoulders. when this comes down its going to put a hole in me and put me on my ass Will be buying one when my bag goes, would be Bob on at 29.99 but it is what it is for a reason
  6. Dude get me on the 3 strand want to feel the burn!!

  10. Shaping up to be a gooden. Will bring all my kit for people to play on
  11. Ive got the old one, its good but would only fit one door in my house. and my knees touch the floor when arms are fully stretched out. good for small circuits like 10 pull ups and it off then do 10 press ups on it etc. Don't forget its up there and try and shut the door though. all goes wrong
  12. Super job, paperwork has just been off tonight look forward to it

  18. Brilliant, nice and simple. How it should be. just curious what was the time period then 3 strand was used? Would love to have a go on old kit like that low and slow ofcoursee
  19. waaay before my time...... Was it really that hard back in the good ol'days
  20. Just to have a go, never climbed on 3 strand. to see what people had to deal with back in the day
  21. honeybrothers.co.uk in the rope section, cant seem to get a URL Says at the start of the description: premium 3-strand climbing rope, often coveted by arborist who like the feel and working characteristics of a traditional line. But at the end says:This product is NOT certified to any standard so it must not be used as climbing rope or as PPE! All to confusing for me, but would love to have a go.
  22. anyone know if the climbing comp is open to everyone not just students and whether it is being run on the friday??
  23. Sweet man, they all look tidy, how do you rate the cocoon to the pinto, just curious never used a cocoon. Ive always been a cambium saver man and used the odd pulley saver when on rec climbs, but dam it makes such a difference at work. Well excitable in the wet today but all my hitch needed was a slighter touch than what i gave it. I feel knowing you have 0% friction makes you super aware of where your ropes are routed as you dont want to loose any 0 friction. Will go through more cord but easy the wear on my rope. A sacrifice I will take
