  8. Aproach shoes look nice, Merrell Axis 2 Sport Men's Multisport Shoes | GO Outdoors I love the Aku's but they are proper ££
  9. Would be wicked on smooth barked trees. Im turning all hippy but you would really be able to feel your way around the tree, especially on nice long limbwalks with nothing to hold on to and its all about balancing
  10. Has anyone used rock climbing shoes for rec climbing? I am finding the more I climb the less I sitback into my line and the more i free climb as such. for example when limb walking out my line in 95% taught but im not using it as support just is the incase I slip, and the same when walking back in. No weight on my line just tending the slack, if I do loose my balance I can just sitback into my line and everything is ok. so having more feeling through my feet well help me feel my way around the tree? I understand i wont be able to jam my feet in forks etc.. just wondering if anyone has tryed it:001_smile: Arran ( hope this makes sense )

  15. I use my rw with my gecko and its fine no problems there, not as refined as thinner ropes but it works well. The teeth of your ascenders just fluff up your rope a bit which to be honest makes the line easier to grip

  18. Are there any other full body srt harness' besides the petzl sequoia? Also does the full body take much weight off of your harness/back when hanging a saw off you?
  19. Yes, know what you mean, i only use the leaver on chogging down when ddoing big lumps were you just need to hear the crack so you can slide the lump off. Used the 45% cut a few times and it works. Will try it more now u mentioned it will see how i get on
  20. Awesome bit of kit will save your elbows if you use it when cracking stepcuts off instead of rocking them til they break off. It gives real confidence whe felling polls out which have slightly the wrong lean. I put a bit of cord through the hole in the top and then use a snap gate, was pondering weather to create a lanyard so you can use it without unclipping it off your harness.
