  1. Will flick the camera on when I get a large enough reduction to really warrent the positives of srt , like jack said it will be boring, but you will get a feel for how i would reduce using srt
  2. Im not sure when Waynes climb is but if dates allow im all over it. and am happy to climb srt with you On the ascent I am using a pantin and my RW clipped to my chest. Ascending like this is super fast but saps my energy. I am in theory doing one pull up then one big step with the pantin then one pull up one step etc.
  3. Yes will power was involved. all you can do is laugh really, when we was clearing up the customer asked me where the wasps nest was so i pointed to the clump that I didn't top out, he then said "Cant you just nock the nest out the hedge and finish that section".
  4. worst thing yet, was the moosh who had topped the conni prior to me about 5 years ago had left everything he cut up there so It was a black rotting mess and i was cutting bellow all of his old cut points.
  5. Whilst topping a conifer hedge out today I made a list of positives about them in my brain: If there was no conifers there would be alot less work (Definatly in the SE anyway) Can produce repeat work for many years to come Customer will always see the difference from before and after As a climber it can improve footwork, cutting speed, strength etc! I was enjoying thinking about my list, then i cut through a wasps nest with the topper, one little bugger crawled through the vent on my helmet and stung me on the head 3 times. The Joys of conifers wont bother writing the negatives as everyone already knows them
  6. Well done, rightly so aswell. It has opened so many doors for so many people nationwide and worldwide:001_smile:
  7. Loads of gloves still cheers they are awesome on spikey stuff, they are going to be ace this winter too. I am all good mate really busy cheers how about yourself dude?!
  8. Thanks folks will post pictures later then send it back to honeybros early next week, bit of a shame but ah well as long as a non broken comes back i sharnt complain
  9. Bought one the other day, but the leaver which i use to decend keeps working loose and has fallen off once, Do you folks just locktite/ glue it on? Other than that its awesome even on my 12mm new england hi vi, and dam its fast with a rope wrench woooweee thanks arran
  10. no need to tie this off at the base if thats what you mean, this would be your top anchor set up:001_smile:
  11. alpine butterfly with a mallion
  12. I got 10mm op and couldnt get it to grip on 13mm for love nor money, 8mm on the otherhand no problem at all
  13. Having a passion for trees makes the difference between it being a job and a career. And the same for just the climbing. me i love both!!
  14. Used the Tuepens loads, 30m is really nice. loads of boards for when you are slo'ing it into position on the grass, they are easy to set up on uneven ground just using the auto level.
  15. wicked vid, The lads are quick out there
  16. I thought it was there aswell been flicking through a load of his video's not found what i am looking for yet but loads of the videos are kool [ame] [/ame]
  17. goodluck, its different but worth the time spend getting used to it. Use it solidly for a month (if you can get away with being a bit slower to start with at work) and you will never go back
  18. Sounds alright to me I dont use the frog walker system , Im sure someone on here know the % of weight the ropewrench takes of off your hitch/lj/spiderjack
  19. I can do this with my vt/rw but not really refined, the unicender in my eyes is the king on self tending. I might be wrong but i think the rw takes more than 50% of the weight off the hitch/ sj/lj??? The testing was with the lj, i cant see the sj's results varying that much
  20. Thank you thats thee first actual picture ive seen found any flaws?
  21. Wicked, have you got any pictures? I prefer the sj over the lj but am full time srt junkie, want a uni but the speed of wear has put me off !
  22. Did anyone ever get the RW and SJ to work together successfully? Looked through google and old Arbtalk threads and couldnt find anything?
  23. Nice man, Cut and hold maybe? . Watched it while eating my branflakes yummy:thumbup:
  24. Ive just downloaded myfitnesspal app, its counts calories sugar fat etc, its got loads of food and drink on the data base but also you can scan barcodes of what you eat and it brings up the calories etc really good, its hard to get to 6k calories though, yesterday was a full day climbing street trees then down to the indoor rock climbing wall for 3 hours only got over 2500 in me but all healthy food
  25. All really interesting, I try and eat as healthy as possible to get all my calories in, Ive climbed with lads who will have a dirty great fry up before work and drink redbull for the rest of the day to keep going. 4500 is a lot of calories but that doesnt surprise me. Adding extra exercise after work like a know a lot of lads of here do you must be looking at 5000- 5500 calories god dam
